Happy Birthday Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson tragically passed away on June 25 2009, just weeks before he was due to embark on a huge 50 date sell out tour in London. If he were alive today it would be his 54th birthday. Happy Birthday Michael Jackson, for all Michael Jackson fans around the world this is a time to reflect and remember the man who inspired a generation. He achieved greatness and he will always be remembered. Take a look at some of his best videos and dance moves throughout the years.

The above video was Michael Jackson in 1968 auditioning with his brothers for Motown Records. When interviewed he said he was inspired heavily by James Brown and Jackie Wilson, and it shows in this video. At such a young age Micheal displayed a stage presence and talent that was far beyond his years.

This was the most poignant moment in Michael's career. This is when he went from being a star to being a superstar. This is the evening that he performed Billie Jean for the first time and wowe the audience.

Michael Jackson Thriller

Thriller went on to be the biggest selling album of all time, and it still holds that record today. With over 120 million records sold around the globe.

Bad

With Bad Michael Jackson came with something more edgy and somewhat rock inspired. His outfits were studded and zipped with a much harder and more modern image to suit that particular era.

Smooth Criminal was one of the most theatrical videos Michael Jackson had ever done. The costumes, the storyline, the theme and not to mention the dance moves. This was considered a masterpiece by fans and critics. Taken from the 1988 hit movie Moonwalker the song, and the video were a hit.

Jam

The single Jam was taken from Michael's 1992 album entitled 'Dangerous.' The song had an rnb edge, with a rap vocal on it which was a shock to most MJ fans. It was considered more contemporary because at that time hip hop music was becoming highly commercial, and rnb was almost the new pop. The dance moves in this video were slick, and it starred Michael Jordan and hip hop stars at the time Kris Kross.

Scream was taken from the 1997 double album entitled 'History.' It was a compilation album with old and new songs. The song Scream was a hit single around the world and it featured his sister Janet. The video was dubbed the most expensive video of all time with a whopping $9 million being spent on stunning visual effects.

You Rock My World

You Rock my World came from his last studio album before his untimely passing. The album was entitled 'Invisible.' The video starred Michael's friend, actor Chris Tucker, the single was a number 1 hit in the UK and various other countries around the world.
