Why is This Album Delightful from a Musical Perspective?
It is different and delightful for Yngwie to explore musically like this because it adds to his volume of work and contributes to his legacy. He shows his mastery, artistry, and guitar skill in this album especially in his cover version of The Sails of Charon. We will get to the awesomeness of that cover song performance shortly.
Inspiration is a Collaborative Effort
By this point in his career, Yngwie had already had five different vocalists that he had used and a few of them collaborated with him on this album. Mark Boals had first sang on the album Trilogy back in 1986. He gets to have his first performance on this album on the song called "In the Dead of Night" which has that symphonic feel to it.
Inspiration the Review from the Songs Carry On Wayward Son Through Mistreated
Jeff Scott Soto starts off this great album with his performance on the Kansas song "Carry On Wayward Son." It is an excellent modern version. You can fly high to achieve your dreams but if you aim too high you may not reach it. That’s the moral or hidden message of this song. Joe Lynn Turner sings the cover of the song "Pictures of Home." This brilliant song is about a person that has become very homesick. He is far away from surrounded by an empty feeling, eagles, snow, and a generally unfriendly environment. Jeff Scott Soto does his version of the Deep Purple song called "Mistreated." The song tells the story of a man that has been mistreated and abused by his former lover. Since she has left him, he has been lonely and he has been losing. What is not a losing quality is this album. This album has plenty of songs to keep the avid music fan entertained for the whole night. If you manage to enjoy this cover album you have won big!!
Why Listening to the Album Inspiration is a Victory for the Avid Music Fan
Listening to and really enjoying this album is the equivalent of a victory for the avid music fan because it is a different album, entertaining, and it will raise your energetic vibration as it has done to me!
Why the Cover of The Sails of Charon is so Awesome
We mentioned earlier of the awesomeness of the cover of "The Sails of Charon" as Mark Boals delivers one of his best vocal performances of the decade! This is in addition to the great lead guitars. In a world of darkness where the power of black magic is dying there is no light. In order for the light to prevail over the darkness, as the song says we must keep searching for the kingdom of light. This song can bring you to tears because of the sheer awesomeness of the vocals!
