"Pride" the Front Album Cover

Pride is One of the Best Albums in the History of Hard Rock

American hard rock band White Lion came out with what is very well their finest work musically called "Pride" which came out in 1987. It is hard to believe that so much time has passed since the release of such a solid album in the history of hard rock and the album is made even better by the amazing first song called Hungry. Pride was one of those albums that my brother introduced to me in the early 2000’s and I’ve enjoyed it ever since that time.

Hungry is the One Song That is Worth Having This Album For

For those of you guys that are hungry to find love in your life, you might want to check out this amazing song in which words cannot describe how great the song is. The song is more than just your run of the mill love song as the song builds up in intensity with a terrific solo by guitarist Vitto Bratta. So many of us have met a woman that we feel is so fine that we have to pick her up and take her home with us. Some of us have a fear of being alone so we crave the love women to escape those fears. But as we stated previously, some people are just going crazy to get love in their life at whatever the cost may be. Hungry is one of the finest love songs in the history of music in any decade by far and if you have to listen to just one song on the album Pride, Hungry is the song to listen to and take in all the way. What can we say? Sometimes some women just may be worth all the love in the world because they are special enough to deserve that big love that we give them. This one song alone gets a 10 out of 10 points!

After the Song Hungry May Be the Second Best Song on Pride Called Lonely Nights

Lonely Nights is a song about a little girl that is stuck on the corner of 42nd Street and she is searching for love and she is searching for someone to hold her hand because she is really crying. The song also states that love is a game that some people play for their own purposes as the winner in this game takes what they want and broken hearts can result from these kinds of actions.

The Song Don't Give Up Should Inspire All of Us to Be Optimistic and Brave

The song called Don’t Give Up lyrically is a complete departure from your typical girls and love song. The song is about someone trying to escape a life that they find mundane, boring, and sometimes very stressful as they are working harder and harder and not being able to make ends meet. But even when life gets rough we must never, ever give up because we can get through life’s hardest and roughest moments through determination. Or can we?

One thing is for sure: I won’t give up on my life and neither should any of us. There is always going to be someone in the world that will be in a worse situation than us. Even when the tax authorities come after us, we still have something to be grateful for. Consider yourself grateful to be able to hear this great song with your ears.

Pride: the rest of this Great 1987 Hard Rock Album

The song Wait is another love song (yes, another one and it’s pretty typical of the time period). Sometimes we just want that one more chance to show our lover that we do really do love her and we need to show her that we can lover her like we did before. We just want that one more chance to tell our lover that we love her. Will we get that chance? Who knows? Tell Me is another solid love song that is about undying love as the man is convinced that his lover will never let him go even after they ran away from home because they were rebellious teenagers. Hopefully the story will have a happy ending as both lovers described in the song will live happily ever after. Some of you may be asking if the album Pride has any cons in it. There are few cons in the album, the most obvious being the song called All You Need Is Rock N Roll. Let us all just come together as music fans and enjoy the brilliance on the album Pride as this is an album that has stood the test of time and it is even enjoyable to listen to even in 2018. The album ends with the very good ballad song called When the Children Cry. Children will cry when they hear that they have been born into what seems like an evil world where there is lots of violence, chaos, and disorder. However, our younger generation must stand up for what is right and just. They have to show us what the right path is but in order for that to happen, they have to have the proper upbringing and values instilled in them. Pride gets a score of 90 out of 100 points which is still a solid A grade if we are to use that scale.
