Rubins Guitars Are Great
I am very pleased with the guitar and the price. The guitar is very attractive and shines. The price is very reasonable. I do not think I could buy a better quality guitar for this price. Just because the Classical is not from Spain does not mean the quality is less. Sound is number one in getting a new guitar. We are getting some fine quality guitars from other countries. China guitars are no longer guitars we need to run away from.
The Rubin's guitar has great possibilities for new students. The guitar has a solid cedar top and dark mahogany sides and back. The guitar is all solid wood and made by apprentice Luther's. The sound is awesome for this price. The guitar was put together in Beijing China. These are not factory made guitars. The guitar is very attractive.15 or 20 years ago I would have not bought one from China. I have to admit I felt the same thing when guitars started coming from Japan. Japanese guitars are fairly well built.
The Rubins Classical Guitar, has great playing ease, the action is perfect. The intonation is good. I would buy one for starting out on my classical journey. You may want to keep this guitar as your intermediate and forever. Check out: RubinsGuitars@Yahoo.com

When Buying Your Classical Guitar
Going to the music store is fun and interesting. If you are buying your first guitar take your time. You should try out several guitars. You will need to know whether you want to play fingerstyle or classical. If you can already play the guitar make sure you play your favorite song. If you do not know how to play I would bring one of my guitar friends that can help pick out a reasonable priced guitar. Most music stores have a room where you can try out a guitar and really hear it. I like to play chords, single notes and fingerpick.
Another thing you could do is find a Classical guitar dealer because they will probably have more models to choose from than regular music stores. We need to remember to that guitars of the same model can have a different sound. People seem to think because its the same model such as Cordoba 3 they sound the same. This simply is not true. You might want to write down what the first guitar you played sounded like. If you can not play the guitar listen to your friend or the clerk and rate the guitar. I suggest writing it down because if you're like me you will not remember each guitar. Most classical guitars that come from Spain have cedar tops, but spruce sounds good . It is basically up to you to decide. I prefer cedar it has that warmth that I really like. Spruce wood gives the guitar clarity. It just depends on what you are looking for in your sound.
