Ryan Giggs the Famous Football Player is Revealed as the Love cheat with Imogen Thomas

Outed By Parliament

So the story is out at last. The famous British footballer is outed as the man who threatened to sue Twitter for naming him as the secret lover of model Imogen Thomas. Ryan Giggs supposedly had an affair with Imogen, but instead of putting his hands up and admitting that he had been caught out, he decided, with not a lot of sense, let's be honest here, that he was going to take out an injunction to keep her from selling the story. Over the past week, the TV News has repeatedly shown the 'secret' story over and over again, while everybody was trying desperately to find out who he was. Then Twitter started to, well, twitter if you like! And the gossip started. Thousands of people got in on the act and the whole thing became ridiculous. The Manchester United star, instead of stopping the whole business, then decided in his wisdom, to sue Twitter! I would like to have seen that! For a start it is an American firm, so no jurisdiction then! and for the other blindingly obvious point, the longer that he kept on trying to keep it quiet, the bigger it got until the whole country was talking about it! You have to give him credence for his stupidity! I don't honestly think that anybody else would have even have thought of doing it this way, not even Wayne Rooney! For those who don't know him, he's just another footballer who can't keep his pants on! But where his story is regarded as 'Rooney does it again', Ryan Giggs story is a bit more complicated and dark.

Blackmail

Imogen Thomas is a model and has appeared on Britain's Big Brother. She isn't particularly well known apart from that. The trouble is that when the word Blackmail starts to get bandied about then the girl in question is suddenly thrust into the news. Now, at this point, there hasn't been any proof apart from Giggs claiming that she tried to blackmail him for a large sum of money. The number has been quoted as 100,000 pounds, but this hasn't been confirmed yet. She is claiming that it is a lie, just sour grapes by Giggs. Imogen supposedly only met Giggs three times overall. Once in September, the other times in November and December. Giggs has written a Witness Statement claiming that Imogen text him in March of this year stating that she was going to sell her story. 28 year old Imogen is firmly denying the allegations of Blackmail, stating that she is going to sue Giggs, presumably for defamation of Character.

Blindingly Obvious!

Why are footballers so gullible? It seems to me that the second they start kicking a football around, their brains seem to disappear from their heads and end up in their feet. Or other parts. Why is it so obvious to me and the rest of the world that this girl, along with countless others only went out with him so that she could sell her story? Or maybe I am wrong. Perhaps Imogen actually did fall in love with Ryan Giggs, and he decided that it was much to dangerous to carry on because of his wife and children, yes, you read it right, wife and children. Has anybody actually thought of them in all of this? No? Thought not. My opinion is that if Imogen actually found Giggs attractive, then she would have either, 1. Gone out with someone even if he was a road sweeper, and 2. Kept her mouth shut about selling her story. But no. It seems that these days, even when the the couple are having the affair, the girl is already counting the dollars or pounds! My advice to her is, give it up and claim back some dignity. If you loved him then just walk away. Sadly, this isn't going to happen. Either way for her it is a win, win situation. Sell her story, or take him to court. Either way she is suddenly going to be thrust onto our TV screens at every opportunity. Maybe the Girl is totally innocent. It does happen, not a lot, but it does. In that case I feel very sorry for Imogen and I hope it works out well. Maybe next time she will be more careful who she dates. We will see.

Is it Right for Celebs to get a Court Injunction?

There are two opinions about this. One is that a persons privacy is theirs to do with what they wish. The other is, if the person is in the public eye, and more importantly we are paying their wages, which we do in the case of over payed footballers, then they should learn to respect their wives, or if they do get caught out, own up and apologise. In the Case of Ryan Giggs and Imogen Thomas, it seems that there were so many other ways to handle it. For a start, why didn't Giggs take Imogen to court for Blackmail? I know that I would if anybody tried it with me. And I am sure that you all would too. It will all be in the newspapers from tomorrow onwards. We shall have to see what happens. All I know is, if Giggs had admitted it in the first place, we would be using the story in the paper to wrap our fish and chips in by now! (British habit, look it up! lol)

On a more sober note, the story was outed by MP John Hemming, the Lib Dem MP in Parliament. Seems he was sick to death of the whole thing too! Perhaps Celebs including footballers should learn to live in the real world. There is no Them and Us. Even though they seem to think they are special. They are not. It is up the public to make or break them.

Celebrity Injunctions

Do you think Celebs should be allowed to keep their Affairs quiet?
