Adam Sandler (2006 to 2010)
Sandler on the Screen
Adam Sandler is a favorite among many. This 3rd part (out of 6) in my series describes Adam Sandler's films that aired between 2006 and 2010. Most are still popular, but a few received critical feedback.
Click (2006)
An architect named Michael Newman (Adam Sandler) is given a universal remote for his TV. Come to find out, it's actually controlling his real life! Before he knows it, he is fast-forwarding through events so much that he ends up becoming a completely different person and losing those who love him. Can he get his life back or will he be stuck in fast-forward forever?
Reign Over Me (2007)
Former college roommates meet up again by chance. Several years after losing his family on 9/11, Charlie Fineman (Adam Sandler) has retreated from his life, and Alan is stunned to see these changes in his friend. At the same time, Alan - who should be enjoying his beautiful wife, children and career - is overwhelmed by his responsibilities. Their rekindled relationship becomes a lifeline for the two men, who are both in need of a friend.
I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (2007)
Chuck (Adam Sandler) and Larry (Kevin James) are 2 best friends. After Larry saves Chuck's life and Chuck says he owes Larry a favor, Larry asks Chuck to do the unthinkable, marry him! It's only so that he can claim the benefits for his kids since he never filed insurance paperwork properly after his wife passed away. Chuck does it, even though he doesn't want to, because he doesn't think anyone will find out anyways. Boy is he wrong!
You Don't Mess With The Zohan (2008)
Zohan Dvir is an Israeli commando who fakes his own death in order to pursue his dream of becoming a hairstylist in New York. Sandler plays the over-the-top character. It's meant to be satire and blends action and comedy together in an exaggerated way.
Bedtime Stories (2008)
A hootel handyman's life is changed when the bedtime stories he tells his niece and nephew start to mysteriously come true. When Skeeter Bronson (Adam Sandler) tries to help his family by telling one tale after another, he eventually realizes it's the kids' additions to the stories that come to life.
Funny People (2009)
Funny People is the story of a famous comedian named George Simmons (Adam Sandler) who has a near-death experience. He hires someone to write his comedy for him -- and be his friend.
Grown-Ups (2010)
Five friends reunite years later to honor the passing of their childhood basketball coach. Along with their wives and kids, they spend the Fourth of July weekend together at the lake house where they used to go as children. Picking up where they left off, they discover why growing older doesn't mean growing up. Sandler plays Lenny Feder.
