I have written many articles on saree blouse designs and this one is exclusively for sleeveless blouse designs for sarees. In the summertime sleeveless saree blouses are very popular among the women of India and Bangladesh. Even in the wintertime sleeveless blouses are worn and look very beautiful. This hub will deal with blouses that requires no sleeves so to speak. Such saree blouses comes in the form of halter blouse, tube top like saree blouse, one shoulder blouse, spaghetti strap blouse and many others. Before I begin I would like to say this: a saree blouse is the deal maker. A well sewn blouse coupled with the right design will make even a simple saree stand out while a poorly sewn sari blouse or the wrong blouse design will turn even the most gorgeous saree appear as if it's a wallflower.

When it comes to choosing the right design for your saree blouse, please observe the texture of the saree itself and also the pattern or embroidery or design of the saree. It is very important to understand the material of the saree in order to choose the right blouse design.

Saree Trivia

The interesting thing about sleeveless saree blouses are that they are versatile. Sleeveless blouses can look casual, it can be very sexy and such blouses can also reek of sophistication. All depends on the saree type, the blouse design and of course how the lady carries her saree. Confidence is the key to pulling off any look with the saree attire.

Blouses can be made with the extra material that usually comes with the saree or you can buy your own material to make it with. Most of the time it is advisable to make it with the material provided as the colour will match the saree. But if you want to go for contrast then you may purchase your own saree blouse material.

Saree blouses can be made with almost all types of material, for e.g. velvet, georgette, cotton, chiffon, silk, etc. Sari blouses are also embellished by the means of embroidery, lace, sequins, stones, zari piping, mirrors, beads, etc.

THE SIMPLE RULE ABOUT SAREE BLOUSE DESIGNS

The golden rule about sari blouse pattern is that keep the blouse simple if the saree is very gorgeous and make the blouse stunning if the saree is simple. With this rule you can never go wrong. This is the balancing mechanism when it comes to the success of the whole outfit.

Hope you enjoy all the photographs of the blouses and that you get inspired to make a beautiful blouse for your beautiful saree. Enjoy.

Beautiful pictures! I have long wanted a saree for myself, but they are quite expensive. The traditional saree outfit would suit me just fine, but these are even more beautiful!!

@ billu Bear- thanks for your compliment. I will try my best to continue writing on hubpages for readers like you.

@stayingalivemoma, thanks a lot for stopping by. True that sarees tend to be a bit expensive in the western world but for starters you can buy a simple chiffon saree and that won't cost you much but it will give you the same feel. You should search online if you are really interested in buying a saree as you might get a bargain.
