Her skills also got her into the illustration work. Even her blog called “Shokotan Blog” had received over one billion hits! In September of 2005, the book company Koma Books released a compilation of her blog entries as a book and this book was titled Shokotan Blog. Shoko also expanded her fan base by creating a blog in English for her US fans during a visit that she made to the Anime Expo. She is very fan friendly and took the time to interact especially with her American audience. She started blogging in 2004. In April 2005 she posted on it for the 600th time and in January of 2006, she had 70 blog entries in that month alone! 70 entries for her blog in that month became a Japanese record for a blog started by a Japanese idol. Kaori Manabe was at one time the national record holder for this category and she was referred to as the “Blog Queen.” Even Nakagawa’s close friend Chieko Kawabe with her constant updating of 5 to 7 times per day has not matched this record yet! Shoko also loves cats. Shoko has her own store. This is called MMTS. She does modeling work for some of its clothes too.

Shoko Nakagawa really likes and admires Jackie Chan!

Shoko was born on May 5, 1985 in Japan’s capital city of Tokyo. She stands at 156 centimeters tall. Her hobbies are watching movies and making candy. She is fascinated with merchandise of Bruce Lee, Seiko Matsuda, and Super Sentai. Shoko’s interest in entertainment came at a very young age. She credits her father as being a big influence in her life. When Shoko was 5 years old, her father gave her horror manga to read because in his opinion, his daughter could not become an adult without reading them. Sadly though, Shoko would lose her father when she was 9 years old. She also loves 80's idol music, anime, and old video games. In 2004, she got a chance to be on the show “Men B” with the person that she grew up idolizing. That person is Mika Katsumura. They both developed a close relationship with each other. Shoko owns a pair of pink nunchakus’. She is fluent in Cantonese and would visit Hong Kong many times with her mother. She even got a chance to meet Jackie Chan and she drew an illustration of him. That illustration is now hanging in Chan’s Hong Kong office.

Shoko Nakagawa Takes a Chocolate Bath!

In a moment that may be considered bizarre or just weird, the singer revealed through Twitter in January 2015 that her lifelong dream of bathing in chocolate has now come true! When I first found out about this news I was in a state of exciting disbelief if that makes any sense. Yes it is true, Shoko Nakagawa was seen bathing in pure chocolate!
