Skayzie Is Becoming One of Rap's Bravest Artists
Skayzie is one of the first Queens rappers to embrace his Punk and Cloud Rap influences and intertwine them to create amazing music.
Skayzie is one of the many few rappers coming out of New York city with an amazing sense of style and his own creativity. When you look past the simple idea of making music about women, drugs, parties, and expensive jewelry and cars you realize he takes this down to a purely artistic level. He doesn't just glorify these lifestyles portrayed in his music: He lives them.
Often a misunderstood person in High School, Taire Khari Shinn became the person he wanted to be, and even though he isn't at the global status he would like to be right now, he likes to live as if he is already there.
Skayzie embraces these influences in his physical aesthetic, too
When asked about why he does what he does:
"Alot of people are not happy with their lives because they did what their parents forced them to do. They never went and chased that dream everyone told them they couldn't do. They never went and became that NASCAR driver, that astronaut, that superstar. But I refuse to be that sad excuse of a person. I have no choice but to make it."
Separating the Music from the Artist
For a lot of artists out there, you can say they don't live the lifestyle they portray in their music truly. They are often caught lying about their raps when they claim them to be true, as if they were a discount Bow-Wow. But you will not catch Skayzie rapping about a private jet and see him taking coach with everyone else.
