(Family Ties) Skippy or Nick?

Updated on October 13, 2016

Who Should Mallory Have Gone For?

If I were Mallory, I would have totally gone for Skippy rather than Nick. No question, no hesitation. Skippy is by far superior to Nick. Right?

Skippy was an adorable sweetheart who was head over heals in love with her and would do anything for her, whereas Nick was just dumb as a doorknob.

But, what do you think? Who did you prefer: Skippy or Nick? Who should Mallory have picked?

You Decide

(you do NOT need to be a member to give your opinion)

If you were Mallory, who would you have gone for, Skippy or Nick?

Ever since I was a little girl in the 80's I always wished that Skippy and Mallory would somehow end up together. Boy was I disappointed to later find out that she was dating Nick. I mean, sure they made a cute couple, but, come on, Skippy was such a sweetie-pie. Those dark puppy dog eyes, that wonderful brown hair, that warm and sensitive smile, and don't forget his wonderful personality. I would date him in an instant if he were my age. Love you Skippy!

Skippy is the better of the two. Hate to vote and make Nick lose by a landslide. At least he has a vote now.

Skippy. He was so cute and very sweet toward Mallory. The two belonged together.

This is a really tough one. Skippy might be a little too clingy, but Nick is just too pretty and dumb. And he'd probably always be late for dates because it must take a while to get that hair just so.

I loved Family Ties! I will have to say Nick, as a teen I thought he was way cute.

      About Marc Price

      aka Skippy

      Actor, Comedian, Former Skippy

Marc Price, born February 23, 1968, played the role of Erwin "Skippy" Handleman on Family Ties.

Since Family Ties, Marc Price has gone back to his stand up comedy and has gone behind the scenes as a producer on various projects including Green Collar Comedy which aired in 2010 on Showtime.

Marc Price hasn't completely stay on the small screen scene's though. He stared in the film "Trick or Treat" with Ozzy Osbourne.

      About Scott Valentine

      aka Nick

Scott Eugene Valentine was born June 3, 1958. Yeah, his middle name is Eugene. (Who's the geek now?)

After his time playing Mallory's boyfriend on Family Ties, Scott Valentine went on to various projects. He has been involved in several made for TV movies, and straight to video movies, as well as a couple TV series like Black Scorpion and Phantom 2040.

For more of Scott Valentine, check out the May 1988 edition of "Playgirl" magazine.

I just saw your Squidcast that Nick got a vote and had to come back! I'm glad that Nick got a vote and hope more people vote for him as long as Skippy wins. :)

I love seeing you make these lenses - it reaffirms that I'm not the only one who admits to watching Family Ties.
