Some of the Sexiest Songs of All Time
My Sexy Song List
We all love a good sexy song that we know and recommend others listening to. Maybe even a list of sexy songs, but how do you know what makes a song sexy? Does it move you? Does it make you feel? Does it shake you from the depths of your soul? Does it make you sweat like a Popsicle in the heat of Texas in August? Here is my list of favorite sexy songs just for you.
Australian born and raised, Darren Hayes, is no stranger to writing or singing his way into our hearts. This former lead singer of the hit duo, Savage Garden, released his multimillion copy selling single from his debut solo album in 2002 called 'Spin'. Out of which came many incredibly beautiful and relate-able songs about love, growing up, and unspeakable, insatiable lust. The most popular was his biggest selling single, "Insatiable". With lyrics like, "Turn the lights down low. Take it off, let it show. My love for you is insatiable. Turn me on, never stop. Wanna taste every drop. My love for you is insatiable." it is no wonder why anyone who listens to Darren's undeniably angelic voice instantly melts like a lit candle at his feet. Hitting high notes in his sexy falsetto tone, there is absolutely no doubt that even Darren's vibrato is enough to make you... well, let me just say it will make you week in the knees and undoubtedly can make you go cross eyed. 'Insatiable' is hands down, guaranteed to put you in the mood for a little nookie... or a lot... all night long!
Maroon 5 is a well known popular rock band based out of Los Angeles, California and produces hit after hit of chart topping songs that appeal to seemingly any demographic across the globe. Their most interesting of songs in their catalog, thus far, is 'Secret'. The song does take a little while to get going, but once it does, hold on REALLY tightly for a ride of lust, sensual attraction, and sweat breaking passion for an unknown stranger picked up at the side of the road. Probably the most talked about lines in the song would arguably have to be "cool these engines, calm these jets. I ask you, 'how hot can it get?' And as you wipe off beads of sweat, slowly you say, 'I'm not there yet.' I know I don't know you, but I want you so bad. Everyone has a secret, but oh, can they keep it? Oh, no. they can't." Maroon 5 holds nothing back when it comes to their balls to the wall lyrics and amazingly sexy Adam Levine's high pitched voice piercing deep into the soul of his listener. 'Secret' is definitely a song to be listened to again and again, repeatedly and remembered for generations to come. Bring a fan and a towel when you do, because this stud will take you for a ride... If only, right?
Nine Inch Nails
Nine Inch Nails, while widely ranged in genre, is commonly labeled as an indie rock band from Cleveland, Ohio. Their most popular album 'The Downward Spiral', released in 1994, had a certain flair of audacity to their lyrics. Singer/song writer Trent Reznor never had any limits and stopped at nothing at all when it came to having know the right time and place to take a chance in the music world, and true to form, when he released the single, "Closer" from the Downward Spiral album in the mid nineties, was no exception. The song wastes no time getting down to the "nitty gritty". Starting the song out with "You let me violate you. You let me penetrate you. You let me desecrate you." Lets not forget the unforgettable chorus, "I wanna f**k you like an animal, I wanna feel you from the inside. I wanna f**k you like an animal, my whole existence is gone. You get me closer to God!" Only an edgy, definitely raw, unyielding and award winning band like Nine Inch Nails can get away with lyrics like that. True enough, it still gets young people, and people of all ages all worked up and in a hot mood to this very day.
Who can resist a classic, right? I think the better question would be, who can forget the ever so talented Marvin Gaye? Marvin Gaye, born in 1939 in Washington D.C., released his biggest hit of all time through Motown Records, 'Lets Get It On.' Marvin knew that only an urban groove band in the 1960s could perhaps get away with such a seemingly provocative song, at the time in this nation, but in those days, it was all about setting the mood through good time music. surely Marvin did with 'Let's Get It On.' Many couples hit the dance floor and then the sheets with this song in their repertoire. I have actually been told many times on many occasions, that his was "our song" and in more than one setting, this was the song they were conceived to. I will refrain from going into detail on that one, but none the less, it was certainly not untrue, nor not understandable. Here is the timeless classic by the outstanding and unforgettable, Marvin Gaye.
Touch and Go
Touch and Go
Touch and Go, based out of London, England, consisting of both talents of Vanessa Lancaster and James Lynch. Not greatly known in the US, Touch and Go was taken to heights unfathomed with the popularity of their single, "Straight To Number One" as it was placed in various ads for Apple, I Tunes and in the First Season of the American Version of Queer As Folk. The highly erotic song "Straight To Number one" is basically a countdown but is abruptly interrupted by insatiable anticipation hence the title of the song. If you want to get someone in the mood but want to take your time with a step by step tease, play Touch and Go's "Straight To Number One" and you will see just how long one will not want to wait to get there. This undeniable song is not only catchy and certainly sexy as all hell, but it is truly versatile as well. I have seen it used in ballroom dance competitions, lobby music, even karaoke.
From their album, MCMXC A.D., Enigma produced a song that tells of such a yerning that we all can relate to in one way or another. "The Principles of Lust", released in 1994 has amazing tunes, intriguing vocals and some sound effects that leave little to the imagination. Very respected and worldly popular, Enigma, is known for releasing music that is haunting, innovative, imaginative. and truly irrevocable. Their song, "The Principles of Lust" is no different. With it's sharp brass instrument accents, and the sexy drum features, this song can tantalize even the most unwilling of people. IT has gravity to it that leaves you wanting more and more, and even more still. This song has been used for strip tease shows, burlesque shows, and even sexy dance performances. I would be more than surprised if it has not been used for personal attention at home, if you know what I mean.
You Look So Fine
Garbage, one of my favorite bands of the 90's, released 'You Look So Fine'. A song about admiration and yearning in the secret and definitely from a distance. The song has a softer, more mellow beat to it with a very sexy melody that almost seems trance like. Shirley Manson's seductive voice is sure to make any man wet in his chair. One of her many talents. This song, no matter which version you have heard, is catchy, sexy, and passionate with a hint of pain. A must-listen tune indeed. Try to imagine the love of your life with someone else, and you are almost angry seeing the two together. Wanting to take them in your arms and having your way with them. That in short, tells the point of this seductive song by an absolutely talented artist.
