Stand Up Comedy On The Other Side

A Very Funny Lady.

I grew up in a family who truly loved watching television. In my early years, I remember Phyllis Diller as a very funny lady, not afraid to speak about anything. She was a housewife who wanted to help her family out with making some money to make the ends meet. Little did she expect that she was going to be a sensation and a star. At 95 years of age, she still continued to do voice overs for the cartoon sitcom, Family Guy. She becomes another awesome talent this year that has completed her life with a lasting memory.

My Tribute To Phyllis Diller

There is a showcase tonight

On the other side.

The residents there will have

Nothing to hide.

The one that they "Roast"

Has laughter to awake

All the eternally sleep,

The one-liners she has

Are bound to identify

The company she'll keep.

There is nothing to prevent

The audience from growing.

Many will turn over to find

What this comic is bestowing.

Then on Judgement Day,

Is it possible that she will

Enter the Pearly Gates?

Will she be humble or

Linger on with her

Raucous debates?

Let us pray that

Mercy for her complaints

Be received,

For this funny lady

Her last breath is

Thanks for the memories. Must be true that laughter is the best medicine. Look at Phyllis lived till 95, George Burns and Bob Hope and so on. Thanks for sharing and passing this on.

Yes, Mhatter99, The loss of an outspoken person leaves a dead silence in the room. We have to really consider where we are when the curtain does come down. We can only pray that the passed ones are in the right place in their hearts. The key to eternal peace after life is to love and forgive one another while still here on earth.

Her passing was sad news for me. It seems like the curtain is coming down on my time
