Ghost Hunters International

Updated on January 24, 2015

What Is Ghost Hunters International?

Ghost Hunters International (GHI) is a spin-off of the hit series, Ghost Hunters. GHI follows the adventures of a new team of paranormal investigators as they apply their principles of scientific debunking to some of the most legendary haunted spots around the world.

Like their U.S. counterpart, TAPS (The Atlantic Paranormal Society), Ghost Hunters International is a squad of real-life ghost-hunting experts - ordinary people who investigate and attempt to debunk claims of otherworldly activity. Comprising veteran TAPS investigators Barry Fitzgerald, Kris Williams, Joe Chin, Paul Bradford, Susan Slaughter and Scott Tepperman, the Ghost Hunters International crew is primed to uncover some of the most startling paranormal evidence yet.

Barry Fitzgerald

Bio From

Barry FitzGerald, a veteran ghost-hunter with 17 years of experience in paranormal investigating, is memorable to Ghost Hunters fans for his work on TAPS' investigations in Europe, during the show's third season. Now, as a member of the new GHI team, Barry supplies his expertise in both ghost-hunting as well as his knowledge of the historical locations of each new investigation.

Haunted by supernatural events he experienced as a child growing up in Ireland, Barry developed an interest in paranormal research and went on to work for two different paranormal groups based in Northern Ireland. He now dedicates much of his time to the development of new investigative techniques and research methods.

Kris Williams

Kris Williams was born in Massachusetts and raised in New Hampshire as the oldest of three children. Her close-knit family was always open to the possibility of the paranormal - specifically ghost hauntings.

"My mom grew up in a house that was very active [with paranormals] and my father's side has had several experiences over the years," said Kris.

And although Kris was raised as a believer she still considers herself to be a big skeptic. She is known to not believe things unless she sees, hears or feels them for herself and is given the opportunity to personally debunk them.

These same strong opinions, keen analytical skills and her friendships with Jason and Grant are what brought her to TAPS. TAPS offered the opportunity to: have explanations for the things she'd experienced, indulge in her love of history and utilize her background in genealogy, which started off as a fourth grade school project and then turned into a lifelong obsession.

"Jason and Grant felt my experience with researching the dead through genealogy would carry over well in the field of the paranormal. They also felt they needed a no nonsense, rational female, who didn't scare easily and could also stand her ground in a group made up of mainly males," said Kris.

Before joining TAPS, as their historical researcher and investigator, Kris worked as a flooring installer and carpenter for three years. She's also worked in electronics and has a background in art and experience with photography, which has come in handy working for TAPS.

Joe Chin

Bio from

Joe Chin, a self-described "happy go lucky guy," grew up in a close-knit family of 11 and worked primarily with the family's businesses. His interests in paranormals date back to his teenage years. Growing up, Joe remembers that the third floor of his tenement house was always lively with instances of unexplained paranormal activity.

And although he experienced the supernatural as a youngster, he had no idea that people looked for the paranormal until he met Jason Hawes. Months after meeting Jason, he was asked to join TAPS and several cases later he is still a part of the thriving team.

"Joining Ghost Hunters International has given me the opportunity to travel the world and push my passion for the paranormal to new levels," said Joe.

Since joining TAPS, Joe has cultivated what he refers to as a "skeptical curious side," that spurs him to want to get to the bottom of things. He also relates this innate curiosity to being a computer technician, a trade he delves into in his spare time. When working with computers he always has to figure out what the problem is and how to resolve it as quickly as possible - similar to the work that he and the TAPS team do.

When he isn't investigating cases, Joe enjoys computer gaming, movies, outdoor activities, learning about crypto zoology and spending time with his family.

Paul Bradford

Bio From

Paul Bradford, born and raised in Britain, Paul's interests in the Paranormal unlike many didn't come from any personal experiences but in fact from his love of Science Fiction, such shows as Dr Who, Stargate and the X Files have lead to some of Paul's own Ghostly Inventions, inventions that he has spent the past 3 years bringing to the paranormal community. Paul passion for the paranormal has lead him to develop and create a number of different tools used now by paranormal groups all over the world. Paul says "my aim is to bring affordable equipment to the paranormal community".

Paul also runs his own team out of Arizona, Sonoran Paranormal Investigations, Inc. as well as runs his own research and development site dedicated to the tech side of the Ghost Hunting. When not hunting ghosts, Paul spends as much time as possible with his family and has a keen interest in Art, Photography and Engineering.

Susan Slaughter

Bio from SYFY

Susan Slaughter was born and raised in Miami, Florida. She went to school for Fashion and Costume design and made fashion her creative outlet in life. But, ever since she can remember, she has had her own supernatural experiences. Growing up with a very spiritually inclined family, she has always had an open vision to spirits and energies. Being a paranormal investigator has become her spiritual quest to search for the truth behind why spirits are trapped between walls and realms that coincide with everyday life.

Learning how people are affected by these spirits and how we affect them has always been at the forefront of Susan's curiosity. Aside from having profound love and curiosity for all things paranormal, her favorite pastimes consist of keeping up on good horror films and going to concerts and shows. She spends most of her free time enjoying nature; hiking, camping, kayaking, canoeing, fishing, boating, and traveling to new exotic places are among her favorite things to do.

Scott Tepperman

Bio from SYFY

A native of Queens NY, first became involved with the paranormal after visiting the original Amityville Horror house in Long Island. Intrigued with the case at a very young age, he immersed himself in all aspects of the events that supposedly transpired. After nearly four years of being a lead investigator, Scott formed his own group, ALPHA (the Association for Locating Paranormal and Haunted Activity). Shortly after the creation of ALPHA, he started touring local bookstores, college campuses, and conventions, creating the popular "Paranormal 411 Lecture Series." A 3-part seminar geared towards all ages interested in the basics of paranormal studies and investigations. Scott's professionalism and dedication to the preservation of legitimate paranormal research contributes heavily to tightly controlled and executed investigations.

Aside from paranormal research, Scott is a certified professional chef by trade, and an avid fan of karaoke, bowling, and the underground rap group Insane Clown Posse.

Dear Barry, Joe, Kris, Scott, Paul and Susan...thank you for this wonderful and inspiring program about hunting ghosts. Hi, I live in Daphne, Alabama, right across the bay from Mobile. The USS ALABAMA sits in Mobile Bay and there have been reports of it being haunted. I myself do believe it is. In fact there is a submarine that sits behind the ship. A photo was taken of the walkway to the submarine and there appear to be three men in uniform walking away from the sub. They are by a concrete table by the fence. you are able to clearly see through them. The pic is the USS DRUM Anyway, it would be great if GHI could come down to Mobile, Alabama and investigate the USS ALABAMA and the USS DRUM. Thanks!

Hello! I am a fan of GHI and my favoritism Ghost Hunter is Dustin Pari. I would like to know if Pari actually has a my space account and does he ever speak on bulletin boards or any blogs on the internet? I read other Team members of GHI speak out to their fans but why never read Pari speak out?. Also I have read wonderful news that Dustin Pari is involved in repairing the world by being Tikkun Olam on my space. Is that so true,(that Dustin wants to change the world and have everyone in the world be friendly?) .I have a hard time believing Dustin wants to fix/repair the world and wants to be involved in acts of kindness. If that is so, why never does Dustin ever talks to any of his fans like the other Team members of GHI?.
