4 Reasons Why You Should Be Watching 'Jane The Virgin' On The CW

This is one of the best new shows of 2014, and it just recently got renewed for a new season. It is a must watch if you love cute and contemporary shows. This show is so funny that all the characters will make you laugh at some point. There are so many reasons why you should be watching this show that many critics are raving about!

The Relatability

What I enjoy watching about this new series, is that it adds stuff that can happen in real life. Jane is the main character on the show. She wants to be perfect and reach her dreams before she can start living her life to the fullest.

I know it is not very common where a person can be artificially inseminated. What are the odds, right? But other than that it does show the rough patches that Jane and her mother go through. It is what any mother-daughter relationship will be like, or could possibly be as. There are also sweet moments, like happy family moments. There's no man in the picture, and all these ladies have a very close bond. It is very nice to watch how they can still live happily without having a guy in their lives.

The Telenovela Experience

This television series is based on a telenovela from Venezuela, so there are going to be elements on this show where it has a very "telenovela" feel to it. I have watched a lot of telenovelas in the past, and I can attest to this. There is a lot of dramatic tendencies within the characters. That is one of the things that I enjoy watching it. This show is in English and it gives the viewer a chance to experience a show similar to how a telenovela would be. The only difference is that it does not come on everyday of the week, but it still gives you an understanding of how telenovelas are.

The Love Triangle

I have watched a couples of episodes so far, and obviously there's going to be a love triangle. But who doesn't love a good love triangle, right? Rafael is the guy whose sperm sample was used accidentally. Maybe this is the guy that is meant for Jane after all? And then there is Michael, Jane's first true love, the one who has been with her since the beginning. Both male figures are suitable for Jane, but, after all, it is up to Jane who she feels is her soulmate.

The Music

And, last but certainly not least, my favorite part about this little show: THE MUSIC. I became obsessed with this show because of the music. There is a lot of different kinds of music used on this show, like Spanish music, which is the best part! It makes the show. "Una Flor" by Juanes was used on the pilot episode and it made that scene even better.

Why is it that the CW always creates amazing playlists for their show? It's perfection.

You can catch "Jane The Virgin" on Fridays at 8 pm EST on the CW! You do not want to miss it!
