Ten Sexiest Female Atheletes
Nothing is sexier in the eyes of the average heterosexual male than a woman who is in nice physical shape. And just like their male counterparts, female athletes are by their very nature prone to staying in nice condition. There are many beautiful, sexy women in a variety of sports these days, but these are some of my personal favorites. I hope you like them as well.
Tanith Belbin (Ice Skater)
With her skating partner, Benjamin Agosto, Tanith has won several championships including five United States championships (2004-2008) and three Four Continents championships (2004-2006). They are four-time World Figure Skating Championship medalists and won the Silver Medal in the 2006 Winter Olympics and finishing fourth in the 2010 Winter Games. The Canadian beauty was born in Kingston, Ontario and raised in Kirkland, Quebec and has been partnered with Agosto since he moved to Detroit, Michigan in 1998.
Ashley Force-Hood (Drag Racer)
Funny Car Drag Racing comes naturally to Ashley Force-Hood, daughter of 15-time National Hot Rod Association Funny Car national champion John Force. Racing for her father's team, she gained her first professional win on April 27, 2008, by defeating her dad in the final round. It's no wonder she was named the 2007 NHRA POWERade Drag Racing Series' Rookie–of–the–Year (Funny Car Division).
Ashley has been a ground breaker since entering the sport. Some of her accomplishments include:
- Became the first female Funny Car driver to win at Indianapolis, a mecca for all types of race fans.
- Ashley was the first female driver to win in two different classes.
- In 2008 she became the first female to ever lead the points standing.
- In 2009 she finished the season in the #2 spot, the highest ever finish by a female.
Maria Kirilenko (Tennis)
Maria Kirilenko was ranked 20th in the world for 2010, but scores much higher on the hottest tennis player scale. Whether wearing appropriate attire for a game of tennis or dressed for a night on the town, the ravishing Russian is clearly a beautiful, sexy woman. Her fit physique only adds to her attractiveness. And don't think being ranked 20th makes her a slouch on the court! In 2010 alone she made it to the third round at Wimbledon, made the quarterfinals of the 2010 Bank of the West Classic, reached the semi-finals at the 2010 Pilot Pen Tennis, and reached the finals of the 2010 Kremlin Cup, among other impressive accomplishments.
The Runner Up
There must be something about Russian girls named Maria... It is hard to discuss gorgeous tennis players without at least mentioning Maria Sharapova. On August 22, 2005, Maria became the first Russian player to hold the World No. 1 ranking. She held the No. 1 spot off and on for the rest of that year but finished the year in the No. 2 spot. Since that time, her ranking has fallen with 2010 seeing her all the way down in the 18th spot. But do not count the feisty Russkie out yet! A new coach coming on board her team and a victory over the World No. 2 ranked player in a December exhibition match seem to bode well for the future of this sexy tennis star.
Leryn Franco (Javelin Thrower)
Leryn Franco is an Olympic javelin thrower from Paraguay, who participated in both the 2004 and 2008 Games finishing 42nd and 51st respectively. She is perhaps better known for her modeling and participation in beauty pageants, including the 2006 Miss Universo Paraguay where she was runner-up. All I can say is the winner must have been an incredibly beautiful woman! (Actually the winner was the sensuously stunning Lourdes Arévalos, pictured at right.) She has made numerous lists of hot and sexy athletes including the top spot on "The 100 Hottest Athletes Of All Time" from the Bleacher Report, a website that focuses on fans' opinions of the sporting world.
Allison Stokke (Pole Vaulter)
Allison Stokke is a pole vaulter currently attending the University of California, Berkeley, who has obtained some fame (or, depending on your point of view, some notoriety) as a member of the California Golden Bears Track & Field Team. It seems some people feel she is only well known due to her stunning good looks rather than how she handles a pole. Oh wait... That did not come out quite right. Anyway, as lovely as she may be, she still seems to do fairly well in her event having set a couple of school records in her freshman year.
Amy Taylor (Soccer)
Though retired from the soccer field, Australia's Amy Taylor is still well known to Aussie sports fans as a sports reporter for WIN News. But Amy first made her mark as a defender playing for The Matildas, Australia's female national team in more than twenty international matches. She began her professional career in 1997 but retired primarily due to a number of injuries resulting from her aggressive playing style. She played professionally both in Australia for the Canberra Eclipse and in the United States for the Hampton Roads Piranhas. Amy first became famous in 2000 when she appeared nude on a calendar with other players from The Matildas.
Minea Blomqvist (Golfer)
Minea Blomqvist is a professional golfer who participates as a member of both the Ladies Professional Golf Association Tour in the United States and the Ladies European Tour. This Finnish beauty began her amateur career in 2001 as part of the Finnish National Ladies Team and turned pro in 2003, gaining her first tournament win in at the Pam Golding Ladies International on the Nedbank Women's Golf Tour in South Africa in 2004. In 2008, she became the first Finn to win the Finnair Masters. On March 31, 2010, Minea added another impressive event to her list of accomplishments, becoming a mother to a healthy baby boy.
Malia Jones (Surfer)
Born in California but raised in Hawaii, Malia Jones is of Hawaiian, German, Spanish-Filipino and English descent. She has made People magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People" as well as Esquire magazine's "10 Sexiest Athletes" and has appeared on dozens of magazine covers. She has appeared as a swimsuit model and in television commercials for Coca-Cola, Corona beer and VO5 shampoo among others. But most importantly, above all else, she surfs ! She began surfing competitively in her early teens and won the girls division of the United States Amateur Surfing Championship at the age of fifteen.
Lokelani McMichael (Triathlete)
Lokelani, also a native of Hawaii, holds a place in the Guinness Book of World Records as the youngest woman ever to finish the Ironman Triathlon, completing the event in 1995 at the age of 18. Born in Kailua Kona, Hawaii, the island beauty won the title Miss Kona Coffee in 1999. She has been featured in several magazines including Shape, Runner's World, Esquire, FHM and GQ. Her Hawaiian name is Lokelanikuu'leimakamae (or Lokelani Kuulei Make Mai) which means "Heavenly rose my precious flower lei". It is certainly easy to see why such an angelic beauty would rise toward Heaven.
Hollie Dunaway (Boxer)
Hollie "Hot Stuff" Dunaway gives new meaning to the term "knockout". Super sexy and gracefully gorgeous, this vivacious vixen moves around the boxing ring with style and lands devastating punches that have led her to four World Championships. When this Arkansas native is not sparring with another lady, she spends time modeling and appeared in the June 2010 "BadAss" issue of Penthouse magazine. A pretty face, hot body and fists of feminine fury... what more could you ask for?
The Could-a-Been A Contender
Sarah Blewden isn't really eligible to make my list as a sexy boxer because unfortunately she was banned from competing due to her breast implants. As a man who enjoys the beauty of nature, I am not particularly a fan of breast implants, but in this case Sarah only went up one cup size from a 32B to a 32C and I must admit they fit her physique very nicely. Personally I think she should be allowed to compete, but apparently the Amateur Boxing Association in Sarah's native Great Britain feels there is a health risk. (Though she is not officially a boxer, I still included her in the poll below anyway just because I like her. Since she cannot box, maybe she can come wrestle with me sometime!)
