The Affair 3 Episodes in What do you think?

Updated on October 27, 2014

Who’s watching ‘The Affair’? Just 3 episodes in and I’m hooked. I think it has a lot do with the different POVs, which could really make for a good plot if done right. Not bad with its layers of complexity. Keeps you on your toes and I have to admit, I like it. Have an idea where it might be going, however not sure who I trust at this point. Noah’s point of view of course totally different than Alison’s and that is to be expected when they aren’t together but Alison’s reaction towards him is a detail that I am sure the writers don’t want us to miss. Subtle hints like her hair loose and flowing around her shoulders. Her movements seductive and her eyes gazing into his makes her a seductress. Noah comes off as a man fighting against his desires for a woman who has let go of all of her inhibitions.

Then you have Alison. When she tells her side of the story, she’s dressed differently, she appears to be that of innocence and purity but also fighting against her desires for Noah. She comes off as being shy and reserved. Noah is the aggressor from Alison’s point of view while she becomes the submissive type.

Latest episode got me thinking about the two sides of the stories that we are being reeled into. Similarities of sexual desires that creates a hunger between the both of them. A change in their actions whether it’s between the two of them or other relationships. Alison from her point of view tried but failed to be the aggressor when making sexual advances at her husband. She wanted to feel in control. With Noah from his point of view he was the submissive type but wanted to be the aggressor with Alison out by the ocean shore. Yeah I’m still not convinced on who to trust, it’s a good thing that we are seeing two sides to this story because you know what happens when you only hear one side of the story? Yeah that’s right…you only hear one side of the story.

Well I can’t wait for more ‘edge of the seat’ plots that are to come later with more racy scenes that will leave anyone hot and bothered. Way to go Showtime!

The Racy Scenes

How hot and bothered does Showtime gets you? With Ray Donovan and now The Affair...I'm definitely hot and bothered by the time the credits start rolling. However, I have heard that some scenes are too racy per television shows such as Scandal and How to Get Away with Murder and like I always say if you don't like it you have the choice to turn the channel. That's the freedom of having a choice. For me I love the racy scenes. Sex is a natural part of life, I say get over it and enjoy the chance to indulge a little. I'm sure shows like these if watched as a couple they could add a heap of spice in someone's sex life. I'm just saying.
