The Baseballs are German rock and roll band, that was founded in year 2007 in Berlin. In the band there are three singers, named Sam, Digger and Basti. Those are their nicknames, real names are Rüdiger Brans (Digger), Sven Budja (Sam) and Sebastian Rätzel (Basti).

They became famous with a cover song of Rihannas Umbrella. After that they recorded two full albums of cover songs of today popular pop songs. They actually published three albums: first one was called Strike! and was released in 2009. In 2010 they released an extended version of Strike! album called Strike! Back. After those two very successful albums Strings 'n' Stripes album was released in 2011. It was also a big hit.

Instead of trying to succeed with classical 50's rock and roll music, they decided to record mostly cover songs of modern pop hits and wrap those in that 50's style. They are in a way rediscovering rock and roll music, that was so popular in Elvis times.
