My Favorite Action Films of all Time

1. Face Off: John Travolta and Nick Cage trade faces and fates. When the city's fate is at stake, Travolta will do anything including altering his entire life to save the day. This film is filled with action scenes. The final 20 minutes of this film is as intense as any you will ever see. The ultimate battle of good vs. evil. The gun battles and fighting scenes in this movie are extremely intense.

2. Training Day: Denzel Washington plays as a bad cop and he plays the role like a a natural. The soundtrack to the film is awesome and Denzel plays a crooked detective living on borrowed time for killing a Russian. Washington is brutal and vicious as a criminal detective because he is the criminal. The soundtrack has music by Dr. Dre who coincidentally appears in the film

3. Tango & Cash: Sly Stallone and Kurt Russell play cops who are polar opposites but they better get along because they eventually go to prison together and they got to team up to escape. They eventually break out in a daring escape. The prison scenes and the scenes in the streets are second to none when it boils down to pure action.

4. Terminator II: Arnold Schwarzenegger plays as a cyborg who is out to protect Sara and John Conner from a new improved shape changing cyborg. This is the second film in the Terminator series. The action sequences in this movie are memorable with lots of explosions and fighting scenes throughout. The liquid metal robot can heal himself instantly after being shot.

5. Lethal Weapon: Danny Glover and Mel Gibson play as opposite cops that must team up to stop drug and money smugglers including the Enforcer played by Gary Busey. Laughter, drama and action are all rolled into one in the first of the Weapon movie series. The fighting scenes look very real and intense to say the bare minimum.

6. Cobra: Cobra is a special detective for the LAPD that deals with kidnappings and murders. The criminals are too smart for regular cops but they are screwed messing with Cobra. He is a beast and will do whatever it takes to take down the thugs in this crime movie. Cobra has a cool old school car and very large hand guns.

7. Die Hard: Bruce Willis plays as a LAPD Detective who has to deal with criminals trying to pull off a heist all the while holding hostages including his wife. He has an attitude and he is not gonna stop until he stops the criminals who are robbing a huge company while holding hundreds captive with a bomb attached to the building and armed thugs as well.

8. Action Jackson: Carl Weathers plays Detroit Detective Action Jackson. Jackson has to stop murderers who are killing union members. The action and fun are fast paced and memorable. Jackson does not take any mess and he pulverized more than one bad guy in this film.

9. 48 Hours: Nick Nolte plays a cop and Eddie Murphy plays a convict turned cop. Two unlikely partners team up in this comedy action film filled with a lot of action and fighting. Not to mention ,some very humorous moments as well. The plot is actually interesting and the crime is hard to solve. This movie has a sequel called Another 48hous.

10. Raw Deal: Arnold Schwarzenegger plays as an F.B.I. Agent who has to travel from Russia to America to catch the bad guys. He does things different than Americans even when he is in America and it works well for him but bad for the criminals. The fighting sequences and the action in this film is entertaining and the music soundtrack has some good tunes

Nice list, however my personal favourite is The Predator although this falls slighty into the SF category.
