Number #10

Margaery in Mourning

Since Margaery was first introduced in season two, she has worn blue costume that have been revealing in nature but after the death of Joffrey, her husband for the better part of two hours she dons a black costume.

This costume is in her standard style but the break from blue is a nice change. She is also seen wearing this costume during Tyrion’s trial.

Number #9

This is a tie as the cut of their two dress is just too similar to pick one over the other. There is some differences between the two dresses besides the color but for this list they are together.

Both dresses have a metal collar that is like Daenerys’ Yunkai dress from season three. The neckpiece leads into beautiful gathering on the bodice. Like most costumes worn by Daenerys it has both a strong powerful tone coupled with a vulnerability that suits her character.

This is the dress that Daenerys is wearing in the introduction picture.

Lena Headey as Cersei Lannister

Number #8

Cersei’s Trial gown

Much like Margaery, Cersei wears more black this season. This is the costume she wears to Tyrion’s trial.

It is in the trademark King’s Landing style but with a heavy fabric that looks like it’s a patterned velvet edged with a gold-green silk. While it has a sombre tone, there is something vengeful about it which makes it perfect for Cersei.

Missandei in Blue

Unlike in season three, Daenerys‘ servant, Missandei gets more costume changes. This one is a new cut but has that Essos ease that we are used to seeing in Game of Thrones.

The dress has a wrapped neckline that goes over the bust but then smooth out over the bodice which gives the dress interest. The shade of blue is also really pretty.

Number #6

Daenerys Criss-Cross

Daenerys gets a lot more costumes in season four as she moves from conquering Slaver’s Bay to ruling Meereen as Queen.

This costume is more revealing than some of her past costumes but it reads powerful with its shoulder details and criss-cross details that form a diamond. It’s a bit of a new color for her as it’s silver but it still fits in to her white and blue looks.

Indira Varma as Ellaria Sand

Number #4

Ellaria Sand

Ellaria Sand is a new character introduced in episode one of season four. She is the paramour of the second prince of Dorne, Oberyn Martell. As is standrad with House Martell, she favors shades of orange.

The orange has a gold tone and feature a plunging v-neck. There also leather at the shoulder. The costume is revealing yet strong and there is a great ease of construction that is common to Game of Thrones but done is a new way.

This costume is another new cut for Daenerys. It’s a bit more conservative of costume for her. It features a key-hole bodice that is a patterned blue fabric with a pleated white skirt.

Daenerys wears this when she locks up two out three of her dragons and is the final costume she wears in season four.

This costume is a complete and utter shift for Sansa’s character. It is all black with some texture on the bodice and a feather cape There is also feather-like detail on the cuffs.

It is a new Sansa for season five.
