The Best Vampire Movies 2012

This year, filmmakers have a treat for vampire movie fans because there are lots of vampire movies 2012 to behold. So before the sun sets and before they awake, let us get straight to the point. Here is your list of vampire movies 2012.

First on our list of vampire movies is Dark Shadows, starring Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfeiffer, Eva Green, Johnny Lee Miller, Gulliver McGrath, Chloe Grace Moretz and Helena Bonham Carter. The Tim Burton directed film tells the story of a vampire, Barnabas Collins who gets free from imprisonment. Collins returns to the home of his ancestors to live with his dysfunctional descendants. He must protect them for their lineage to survive. Dark Shadows hits the theaters on May 11.

Next on our list is a vampire movie that brings some companions. The battle between lycans and vampires ensues in Underworld The Awakening. Bjorn Stein and Mans Marlind collaborate to direct the film that stars Kate Beckinsale, Michael Ealy, India Easly, Stephen Rhea, Theo James, Sandrine Holt and Charles Dance.

The story follows our heroine six months after the events of Underworld Evolution took place. Mankind discovers the existence of the other kinds. Selene leads a war against humanity. Will the former enemies join forces to survive? Find out in theaters on January 12.

The Harsh Light of Day is next in our list. The Oliver Milburn directed film tells about the story of Daniel Shergold who, together with his wife, is attacked by burglars. Justice is delayed as the police are not able to find his wife's killers. A stranger pays him a visit in his secluded cottage, offering a gift that is the key to have his wife avenged. Never will Shergold see the harsh light of the day again. The film stars Dan Richardson, Sophie Linfield and Giles Anderson. The Harsh Light of Day will be seen in theaters on November 18.

Even though it is still under development, The Bloody Indulgent stirs enough excitement. The Ken Roht directed film tells the story of a vampire named Burt who kills a B-rated strip club owner. Burt goes into hiding until waking up one day facing a group of vindictive strippers who brought some zombie friends along. Who will remain standing in this showdown? The film stars Kevin Scott Richardson, Diva Zappa and Brian Gaskill. Release date for the movie is yet to be announced so be sure to check out for updates.

Last but not the least in our list is the Blood Let. This J.R. McGarrity directed film follows the story of a former cop who was shot in the line of duty and then undergoes rehabilitation soon after. He switches to a new career which becomes the greatest mistake that he ever did in his life. The film stars Elise Jackson, Bill Oberst Jr.and Clint Jung. We must also remember here some other great vapire movies that will be released in 2012 like: The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 2, Byzantium, Dracula 3D, Sinister Visions, The Brides of Sodom.
