The Devil's Advocates At MSNBC
The Devil’s Advocates At MSNBC
With Keith Olbermann in exile and now working for that charlatan Al Gore, MSNBC gave Olbermann’s timeslot to the new comer, personal attacker, Lawrence O’Donnell… who is getting the same dismal ratings. Yet, you wouldn't think that O’Donnell ratings are dismal because of his boastings and critique of personnel at Fox News simply because they - O'reilly and especially Beck - believe in the Christian God and take some passages of the Bible literally. Mind you, even Beck’s at 5: p.m. audience is almost twice as O’Donnell’s who has the coveted 8: p.m. prime time slot. What caught the ire of O’Donnell is the fact that Beck said that happenings like earthquakes and tsunamis are scheduled to happen at the end of time. Mr. Beck was not making this up out of whole cloth – he was simply quoting what Jesus said in the Gospel of Mathew and reiterated to the Apostle John, in His glorified form, in the Book of Revelation.
Why is it that someone like me – a devout Jesus Freak - can divorce myself momentarily from my religious beliefs to understand where Atheists or others are coming from on certain issues, yet many of the elites on the Left cannot? Mr. O’Donnell basically repeated the same derogatory terms, namely, that we are dummies, attributed to those of us who believe in the New Testament’s eschatology. A little research on the part of Mr. O’Donnell’s would have shown that there were men/women who had superior faculties and worth who believed in Christ Jesus and the attendant ideals spelled out in the last book of the Bible. I will say again that believing in the Christ is not an exercise in logic, it is one of faith. And when we are called names, we were warned by the very Lord that this would happen and that the Gospel would be foolishness to the rest of the world – two thousand years ago this was said and predicted by the very Christ and it is being fulfilled by Lawrence O’Donnell and the rest of the Devil’s advocates at MSNBC.
Does anyone think that O’Donnell would have said anything of an insulting nature about the Muslim faith? Oh, I know why the constant cowardly diatribes against Traditional Christians - there are no Jihad clauses in the Gospels. The Psalmist David did say that I hate you with a perfect hatred, but I must confess I do not know if I could give that ‘perfect hatred’ line a perverted interpretation and use it to carry out something akin to Jihad. When my beloved mother reads this blog, I know what she is going to say to me – pray for Mr. O’Donnell. Incidentally, I will admonish the folks at MSNBC that it is foolhardy to boast and call the Fox audience names, an audience size that is woefully lacking at MSNBC; it is like that classic scene in “Monty Python” where the foolish knight who has lost all of his limbs, yet he is still calling for more ‘beat downs.’
