There are countless benefits of dancing...
With Reality TV already dipping into the Dance Crowd with So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing with the Stars, it is no secret that many of us (even those whom find it hard to keep a beat), enjoy dancing. Dancing is not just for some, but for all, and I will explain why.
People of all ages regardless of health enjoy dancing, because there really isn’t any right or wrong way to move your body.
There are countless benefits of dancing which include, building strength, building self confidence, developing social communication skills, building endurance and finally improving mood, energy level and happiness.
If you ever notice a person dancing, they will have a smile on their face, why, because dancing is enjoyable.
It was not until the 1920’s when dancing really took flight. The Jitterbug and The Charleston were two of these attention grabbing choreographed dances, and both are still known and danced today.
We all love a good dance...
When you are having a bad day, take a little time to dance
Since the days of the Jitterbug, dance has changed and adapted to the time as well as the developing and passing trends. From Michael Jackson to Britney Spears and Fred Astaire to Justin Timberlake, our history and lives are filled with movement and dance. Some dances make us laugh, such as the Chicken Dance or Robot, some make us stop and awe with amazement like the Moonwalk but all dances regardless of the appeal makes us smile and forces us to move our bodies.
Needless to say, when you are having a bad day, take a little time to dance. Not only will you feel more focused and be building strength as well as endurance, you will be adding one of the ingredients that can improve upon your overall happiness. Let lose, get a workout routine while dancing around the kitchen or while vacuuming the house- you will be happier for it.
