There are many anticipated movies that will be released this year such as; Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Captain America: Civil War, and The Jungle Book. This article will focus on The Jungle Book. The Jungle Book is a live-action and CGI American adventure/fantasy film. This film is produced by Walt Disney Pictures. This version is a remake of the 1967 animation.

Mowgli is just a boy and somehow has found refuge within the jungle. Mowgli leaves his home after being threatened by the terrifying Bengal Tiger voiced by Idris Elba for being a human inside the jungle. While exiting Mowgli meets a couple of creatures that will help him escape the tricks and traps that will come before him. These creatures are a black panther and a bear. Together these two will guide Mowgli on this adventure.

Later, Mowgli will cross paths with more jungle dwelling animals who will concoct plans of danger and entrapment for Mowgli. Mowgli will meet a python voiced by Scarlett Johansson with a gaze and voice that comes with trouble. Mowgli will also have to keep his wits to not fall victim to the sly talking Orangutan whose intentions involves tricking Mowgli into revealing the secrets to the powerful “red flower.”

The voice cast includes:

Scarlett Johansson as Kaa
Christopher Walken as King Louie
Giancarlo Esposito as Akela
Emjay Anthony as Grey Brother

In conclusion

The Jungle Book is based on the collection of stories by English author Rudyard Kipling and was published in 1894. Disney debuted a kid friendly animated version in 1967 that made over 200 million dollars. Walt Disney Picture is once again releasing the story, but this time as a live-action CGI film. To become familiar with the characters I suggest reading the book or even watching the animated movie.

I agree. I hope they leave the story intact. And the effects look amazing.

This film wasn't even on my radar until I saw the trailer for it. The special effects look incredible! As long as they don't change the story too much, The Jungle Book should be a good one to see on the big screen.
