Hang on to your hats comic fans, comic movie fans, and especially comic investing fans! There's a lot of great news about DC Comic movies coming soon as well as new Marvel Movies coming soon that have made waves as late!

Yes, I'm quite excited and you should be also! There's some great things in the works for both studios!

Well, I should actually say there's a lot of news on the Marvel side of things, but DC Comics and Warner Bros has just recently dropped a bomb that may get fans excited out there.Or, it may not. I'm sure it will rub some comic fans the wrong way.

Either way, all this information is great for the comic investor. As we all know, news like this about comic movies coming out is one of the best ways to gauge which comics to invest in quickly before they become too in-demand.

If you already got the comic books, bless your heart. You made wise comic investment choices!

So everybody gets something out of this hub. Comic fans find out the latest scoop on their favorite comic book heroes and villains that will finally make it to the big screen, and comic investing and collecting geeks get the early drop on which comics to invest in fast! I mean fast like Quicksilver and The Flash fast!

Alright lets find out the latest news on both DC Comic movies coming soon and new Marvel movies coming soon!

Christopher Nolan, famed director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises will now be producer of the DC Justice League Movie!
Christopher Nolan, famed director of Batman Begins, The Dark Knight, and The Dark Knight Rises will now be producer of the DC Justice League Movie!

That's right! Warner Bros. has announced that the famed director of the hugely successful Batman trilogy will be producing the DC Justice League movie. Although a DC Justice League movie was in the works since 2008, it seems they are reacting to Marvel and Disney's epic Avengers movie.

The Justice League movie in 2008 stalled and fizzled out, but, perhaps, with Nolan on board this project, The Dark Knight Rises director may just get things done to see that this movie gets made this time around. Even more important, Nolan's hand in the project may mean a DC Justice League movie just might be really good as well.

Fans of Batman Begins and The Dark Knight may be extremely excited by the news, but there are some of the comic book purists who thought Nolan deviated way too much from the Batman comics. Will he do the same with the Justice League?

It's already well known that Christopher Nolan is producing next years Man of Steel movie, which will once again see the iconic Superman brought to the screen again. It's also well known that the Man of Steel will take a more darker approach.

Throwing together some of comics most iconic characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern, and The Flash is no simple task. This is especially true since DC did not think to drop hints or loosely tie any of their movie characters together.

However, a script writer has been hired on to pen the Justice League movie script. Visit the link to learn more about the lucky fool who took up the daunting task of writing a DC Justice League movie.

Along with the news that Chris Nolan will be producing the Justice League movie, DC and Warner also announced that the Batman director will also oversee other DC Comic movies in early development such as The Flash, The Suicide Squad, Aquaman, Green Arrow, and Shazam.

With Nolan hired on as "the Godfather" of future DC Comic movies coming soon, will this be a good thing for the future of DC film projects? I think Nolan has what it takes to get things done. Be sure to vote and let your voice be heard!

No Justice League movie planned for 2015 anymore. However, Batman and Superman will meet in the upcoming Man of Steel sequel. Ben Affleck has already been confirmed to play Batman.

You heard that correct comic fans! Even more news of A Marvel Comics Black Panther movie has given this project a bit more weight about truly happening.

Marvel has mentioned that there are two new Marvel movies coming soon yet to be announced. Although they have not confirmed The Black Panther movie, none other than the Latino Review has leaked that Marvel is, indeed, planning for the film to happen.

Is this really a surprise? After all, there have been hints of T'Challa and the Black Panther in the pre-Avengers movies.

If you remember, Captain America: The First Avenger did mention the highly unique metal substance Vibranium. According to the Marvel Universe, this rare metal is only found in the fictional African nation of Wakanda, which T'Challa (The Black Panther) rules over.

Also, the ending scene in Iron Man 2 displays a map of Africa with the nation of Wakanda circled. Was it just a coincidence that a reference to the nation that covets the metal substance used to make Captain America's iconic shield is in a Marvel movie? I think not.

This is especially true considering that Marvel has left many clues in each of it's movies about plans for the future concerning Marvel movies. As many remember, Odin's vault contained the Infinity Gauntlet, and Thanos is well tied to the Infinity Gauntlet in the comic books.

Who was introduced briefly at the end of the Avengers - Thanos! Who first leaked that out? The Latino Review, of course!

With this bit of news, the deep thick cloud of speculation has arisen. One is will this Marvel Black Panther movie tie into the next Avengers 2 sequel? After all, in my poll of Which Avenger Would You Most Want To See In The Avengers 2 Sequel, The Black Panther is #1 voted by fans. Even more reason for a Marvel Comics Black Panther movie to be made.

The second question is who will play the iconic and historical first black superhero ever in the world of comic books? Wesley Snipes was once tied to the project.

Okay there's a third question, and that's what's the other new Marvel movie coming soon that has yet to be announced? Guardians of The Galaxy? The Inhumans? Doctor Strange?

Despite it all, it's about time the very first black superhero in the world of comics has his own movie. A Marvel Black Panther movie would be honoring that historical event in American comics and history.

UPDATE: Guardians of the Galaxy and the Ant-Man are the next Marvel movies that have been confirmed with release dates. No word about the Black Panther movie from Marvel Studios, but I have no doubt that he will be introduced quite soon!

Another bit of news leaked by The Latino Review that ended up being true was that Iron Man's most iconic villains will be one of the Iron Man 3 villains to appear in third installment of this anticipated comic book movie! Who will play the role?

None other than Sir Ben Kingsley. Huh? A white actor playing a Chinese super villain? Hold on before we get in a huff. In the comics, The Mandarin is actually half Chinese and half white. His father, one of the wealthiest men in pre-revolutionary China and descendant of Genghis Khan, had married a British noblewoman.

Whoa! I know, right? I just found that out about the Mandarin's mixed ancestry, and I've been a comic geek for quite some time. Perhaps, not hardcore enough, eh?

However, for all you comic collecting and investing nuts out there, I do know that The Mandarin first appeared in Tales of Suspense #50. So hunt that sucker down, because who knows if this bad boy will also have a part in the Avengers 2 sequel.

Iron Man 3 will be set in China, and is currently filming in North Carolina. The movie will be directed by Shane Black, and the cast will include Robert Downey Jr., Gweneth Paltrow, Guy Pearce, Don Cheadle, Rebecca Hall, Sir Ben Kingsley, and James Badge Dale.

Previous Iron Man director, Jon Favreau, will reprise his role as Tony Stark's driver, Happy Hogan. Iron Man 3 opens in North America May 3, 2013.

Did you notice that I mentioned the Mandarin will be one of the villains in Iron Man 3? Actually, he isn't the main villain of the movie. Visit the link to find out the complete list of Iron Man 3 villains.

Plot details for Captain America 2 has sort of materialized as of late. President of Production at Marvel Studios, Kevine Feige, has talked a bit about the Captain America movie sequel to CHUD Magazine.

His latest announcement has revealed that the next Captain America movie will have closer links to the Avengers movie. As Feige said in the interview:

"Cap, who is stuck in the modern day with no friends or family, there will be some revelations of who is still alive from his days in World War II, but SHIELD and Nick Fury are kind of his confidants right now. So of all these movies, Captain America 2 will be most closely associated with Avengers."

While Cap will be more affected by the events from the epic Avengers Assembled movie still in theaters, Kevin Feige also mentioned that Cap's other Avengers team mates wont be so much, and their next movies will mainly just concentrate on their own worlds.

Kevin Feige reported to CHUD, "As we go forward - particularly in Iron Man 3 - [there's] the notion of how singular the stories can become. Iron Man 3 is a very singular Tony Stark story. As is Thor 2."

So Thor will once again primarily deal with those crazy Asgardians in Thor 2. Visit the link to see what's happening with Thor 2 as well as the newest leak by the Latino Review about the Thor 2 villains.

Back to Captain America! Variety also recently report that "Community" producers, Joe and Anthony Russo, will direct the sequel to Marvel’s Captain America. This has been the last and latest news to hit the fan for red, white, and blue first Avenger.

Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. Fox Studios.

This movie has been fraught with delays and changes of directors, but it seems that The Wolverine is back on track. Part of film will be shot in Sydney, Australia but will also be filmed in Japan.

Fox CEO, Tom Rothman, has confirmed this. "It's set in Japan," confirmed Rothman. "A great number of Japanese actors will be in it and it's based on the very famous run of the comics. I can tell you on behalf of [Hugh Jackman], his goal is to make the ultimate, badass, berserker-rage Wolverine."

I believe we heard the same thing from Hugh about the X-Men 2 movie, about finally seeing a movie where our favorite pint-sized mutie goes berzerk. Hopefully, this one delivers as promised. Critical and comic fans reaction to X-Men Origins: Wolverine was not good.

Then again, the script, written by Chris McQuarrie, is based on the popular four issue limited series by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont back in 1982. Did I call that or what? Comic investors, you know what to be hunting for!

Although the Silver Samurai was confirmed in 2011 to be the main villain of The Wolverine, no news of casting for the villain has been confirmed. James Mangold is still directing

X-Men First Class stars James McAvoy and Michael Fassbender as Professor X and Magneto.

Yes, a new X-Men: First Class movie is well under way. The movie will begin filming next January to allow their Mystique starlet Jennifer Lawrence to film the Hunger Games sequel.

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg has said the movie will focus heavily Magneto, and may pick up where the first one left off. However, a source at Ain't It Cool has reported that the new X-Men First Class 2 movie may be based on the popular X-Men comic book story "Days of Future Past."

This hugely beloved story arc by the famed duo of comic writer Chris Claremont and artist John Byrne starts with The Uncanny X-Men #141-142 depicts an alternate future created from the X-Men's failure to stop the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants from assassinating a U.S. senator.

The result of this failure is a future in which the giant robots, the Sentinels, rule the United States, hunt down mutants, and place them in internment camps. To non-comic book fans this may be confusing.

However, I'm a huge fan of the X-Men comics and always thought Days of Future Past would make an astounding movie. On the other hand, my position has changed a bit for several reasons.

One, 20th Century Fox has noticeably screwed up the whole X-Men timeline, which has affected important characters and where and when they can be introduced in a movie, as well as the important roles they play.

Two, the classic example was the first X-Men: First Class movie in which new characters had to be made up - characters I don't really care for - because they couldn't use the real, original X-Men team of Cyclops, Angel, Beast, Marvel Girl, and Iceman.

Three, A Days of Future Past without important characters like Wolverine? What's the point?

So, I truly hope 20th Century Fox doesn't release an X-Men movie based on one of my favorite X-Men stories of all time. I hope Marvel Studios does when the rights go back to them, and they reboot the franchise.

Anywho, the new X-Men: First Class 2 movie will hit theaters July 18th, 2014.

UPDATE: It has been confirmed that the X-Men: First Class sequel will indeed be based off the popular X-Men comic story arc Days of Future Past! How much 20th Century Fox takes from it is not known, but I do hope they don't screw it up. Days of Future Past is one of my favorite X-Men story lines ever!

Yeah, I wasn't sure about the Deadpool kept gaining momentum it was going to happen and then not going to happen. I'm glad Fox finally confirmed they're going to spin off Deadpool in his own movie. A rated R rating for a Deadpool movie sounds about right.

Thanks for commenting Stevennix, always good to hear from you!

Well it should be interesting to say the least to find out how all these superhero films are going to turn out. By the way, did you hear that supposedly Fox studios plans to go through with a solo Deadpool movie starring Ryan Reynolds. Plus, it's been confirmed the movie is going to be rated R too. You should write a hub on that movie in development, as i'd be interested in reading your thoughts on the upcoming deadpool film that's already being planned. Anyway, keep up the good work as always and cheers.

Dolphan5, thanks for the kudos and compliments. Well, you're absolutely right about the ka-ching factor on DC's part about making a Justice League movie.

I'm thinking that Nolan may not go the dark route for the Justice League. The only character that can work with a darker grittier tone is Batman. Let's hope DC doesn't rush things.

The Avengers proved that a comic book movie doesn't have to be dark or gritty.

You're right! Marvel does deserve the success they got with the Avengers and all the movies preceding it. They had the vision and put in the work.

I was hoping that the Avengers would break Titanic's box office record. I really want to see a movie dethrone that one.

Thanks for checking in, the votes and joining the conversation.

      Heya DS Duby,

thanks for stopping by and isn't it pretty exciting news? I think Nolan being involved with the Justice League will be a good thing in getting a pretty decent movie made of it. It's been the best news on DC/Warner's side of things.

Thanks for the all the votes! Always appreciated.

Hey Rabbit well written an very informative. It sure would be nice to see a Justice League movie, as to Nolan's contribution time will tell. I'm thinking a little to dark but we will see.

My main thought is the impedus for finally getting in gear($$$$$$$$$). DC & WB must be crying at the money surrounding the Avengers and we're still in the theaters.

Wait till the DVD and Blue Rays come out! Can anyone say CHA-CHING!!! Marvel has earned it. The put together an arrangement from the individual charecters to the final assembly. That took time and if DC rushes things I don't think they will be good. I voted thumbs up etc etc etc.

You the comic man Rabbit or should I say you the Rabbit Comic man!

You could have left out everything involving Marvel and I would have still voted up, awesome, useful and interesting. Nolan doing the Justice League almost guarantees its success. What he's done with Batman is phenomenal, I can't wait to see the Justice League!

Heya gmaoli, the part about Christopher Nolan and the role he will have a DC Justice League movie got my attention too. It's pretty exciting news, and now I'm a lot more confident that a Justice League movie will be made.

I'm pretty sure there are comic fans out there who are disappointed about the news...there are those out there who didn't like Nolan's approach with the Batman movies. I'm wondering if he'll try to make the Justice League have a darker tone, as with the Batman movies and the new SUperman Man of Steel movie coming out next year.

Thanks for dropping by and commenting, and always glad to let anyone who is interested in knowing the latest news on comic book movies to come.

The part about Nolan's role in the Justice League movie is what got my attention. I'm pretty interested to see where Nolan goes with the Justice League. I have little knowledge about the team as a whole, so I couldn't say one way or another if Nolan's interpretation will represent the true spirit of the team as illustrated in the comics. That being said, I have some high hopes for this. Nolan's work on the Batman movie series thus far has shown that he's very good at picking the right actors to play the right parts in the right way and in a matter that people can take his work seriously. Even if you're not a comic follower, Nolan seems to know how to get the best talent from both the actors and the writers to tell a very compelling hero story without the overly campy and cartoon feel. Thanks for sharing the news and as always for keeping everyone so well informed on what the silver screen has in mind for the comic book world.
