My Top Robert De Niro Films

1. Cape Fear: De Niro plays a red neck rapist hell bent on revenge. He was a menace who harassed his ex lawyer and the man's family. His name was a Max Cady and he harassed his ex-lawyer's daughter, killed their dog with poison and tried to kill the whole family in the end.

2. Godfather 2: Robert plays the Don in the Godfather and he is brutal. It shows Don Corleon when he was a young man coming up in the Mafia. He is brutal and avenges his fathers death face to face at the home of the top dog.

3. Goodfellas: The Mafia in America is showcased starring Robert De Niro and Ray Liotta. It has intense violence and some very dramatic scenes. De Niro plays as gangster Jimmy Conway. Also the film stars Joe Pesci and he is the most violent force in the film.

4. Casino: De Niro runs a Vegas casino under Mob control with Joe Pesci as the enforcer. The movie takes you into the under belly of how the mob works. You will see what happens if the rules aren't followed to a T.

5. Meet the Parents: De Niro and Ben Stiller keep the laughs coming in this film in which De Niro plays the father in law to Stiller. One of the few times Robert De Niro has played in a comedy role in this movie.

6. Heat: Al Pacino and Robert De Niro star opposite each other with Bobby playing the crook and Pacino playing as the cop. Robert De Niro high jacks armored trucks and robs banks for a living but, a detective is hot on his trail and wants to stop him.

7. Awakenings: De Niro plays a catatonic patient and excels to the level that will bring the audience to tears.

8. Raging Bull: In this film De Niro plays prizefighter Jake La Motta and it delves much deeper than sports in this dramatic movie. All the bouts show the fighting up close and it looks real.

9. The Untouchables: De Niro plays as Mafia boss Al Capone in this classic film set in prohibition era 1920s Chicago, Illinois. The film is realistic and it's based on true events from the prohibition era.

10. 15 Minutes: De Niro plays a hard cop who goes out hard in this film, really hard. He is very popular in the city and he is a target for criminals wanting to make a name for themselves.

I love Bobby D. He's one of the few celebrities that I'd love to have a sit-down dinner with. Cape Fear is, by far, my favorite of all of his movies.
