This Article About This Famous Woman Only Takes a Brief Look At Her Life & Career But It is a Worthwhile Read

What has Miki Fujimoto done as a celebrity since about 2015? This former 6th generation member of Morning Musume used to be my favorite member of that generation. This article looks at a few events in her life that happened after she was forced to resign from famous girl group Morning Musume. These events are giving birth to another child, getting pregnant for a third time, leaving a fan club, and releasing what would be her first single after her resignation.

Fujimoto Gives Birth to a Daughter Tsubasa

On August 1, 2015, former Morning Musume member Miki Fujimoto gave birth again. This time, it is a healthy baby girl weighing 6 pounds and 15 ounces. The baby was born at 1:32 AM. Fujimoto admitted that although childbirth is painful, she is filled with happiness. This is some of the best news for Morning Musume since the retirement of former member Makoto Ogawa. Fujimoto thanked her husband and son who is now 7 years old. She thanked them for welcoming the new baby with her. She also thanked those people that secretly supported her during childbirth. Fujimoto’s son Toranosuke was born in March 2012. Fujimoto married comedian Tomoharu Shoji back in July 2009. This is great news for Fujimoto who celebrated her 30th birthday back on February 26, 2015. Note: I know that this is now an old news story but it is significant. Her daughter’s name is Tsubasa.

Miki Fujimoto Leaves a Fan Club

Giving birth is one of the things that Miki has done since 2015 but there is so much more than that. In January 2016, Miki announced that she was leaving the M-Line Club along with Natsumi Abe. This is a fan club that had selected members of Morning Musume and Ongaku Gatas (Music Cats) which was a Japanese girl group that used to be part of Hello! Project.

The Song Okitegami May Be the Defining Moment for Miki Fujimoto Musically

No discussion of Fujimoto would ever be complete without discussing at least a few of her solo singles. One of these solo singles is the one called Okitegami or Leftover Letter. This would end up being the last solo single that Fujimoto would release and it would also be the last one before her marriage. Okitegami ranked at #29 on the Oricon Music Charts and it is the single that would be on the charts the longest. But it was also her lowest selling and lowest ranking single as well. The single would end up selling 24, 746 copies. The song is about a relationship that ended suddenly. There is a letter on the table telling the woman to go on living well. While in the midst of laughter she was shedding tears. She thinks that this letter is a cruel joke that the man played on her but she comes to realize that the relationship is really over. She tries to train herself to be happy but she gets very upset and is in tears. In life when something like this ends so suddenly, it can be very jarring to deal with and the pain involved is immense. I don’t understand why Okitegami would be her lowest selling single. This single is her best solo single and it has such power and passion that the beauty of it makes you cry. While giving birth to a child is painful and rewarding, musically Fujimoto has shown that she has the vocal range, beauty and talent to show that she is worthy of consideration.

Fujimoto Was Pregnant for a Third Time

Note: as of August 5, 2019, Fujimoto made the news once again, this time announcing that she is pregnant for a third time. She made this news public via her official blog. She was very happy to report this news saying she is blessed to know that she will have another child and that she has always been healthy. As of January 24, 2020, she gave birth to a second daughter.
