END OF WATCH

Starting off this list is the cop thriller "End of Watch" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Michael Pena as two hot-head cops hungry for action. This movie does a great job of showing the gritty, dangerous jobs that these two ghetto police-men have to deal with. The acting in the movie was done very well (as expected from these actors), which contributed to how you find yourself growing attached to the two main characters. Well acted and shot, this movie brings an interesting feel that I personally loved. Though this movie does have the first person camera perspective in it, I felt that it's integration within the movie worked very well and it is not just another "Blair Witch Project" type movie.

BLACK HAWK DOWN

Starring Josh Hartnett, Ewan McGregor, and Tom Sizemore, this military action and adventure movie does a great job of displaying the ole' saying "No Man Left Behind." Once this movie picks up, it doesn't go back down. The way the movie is able to force emotion out of you is really a testament as to how well you find yourself bonding with the young soldiers in the movie. What you are left with is an intense, well-acted, action packed war movie with fantastic gunfight scenes and a great representation of what the military will do to save one man's life.

THE AVENGERS

Directed by Joss Wheden (A.K.A Every nerds god), this beautifully crafted movie based off of the comics demonstrates what would happen if Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow all came together to fight against the forces of evil. Just about everything about this movie is great, the character development, the pacing, the feel, the action, and the list goes on. And with the main villain being Loki, a complex, maniacal, power hungry god, the entire movie is a thrill-ride right up until the end. Joss Wheden once again proves his worth in this amazing Marvel Movie.

ACT OF VALOR

Next on this list is once again another Military Movie: Act Of Valor. Now, this movie ONLY made this list because of the great (phenomenal, actually) action and fight scenes that are in it. Actual soldiers were the actors in this movie which means that everything in this movie is authentic and the action scenes are executed and displayed just as if it was a real war. Sure, the plot isn't the best and the acting was definitely sub par, but the explosions... Man... Perhaps it is my inner boy that is showing here and that is why I included this, but if you are looking for a good time, this movie won't disapoint.

SKYFALL

The Newest James bond and arguably the best one. Starring Daniel Craig, who once again is arguably the best James Bond, this Bond movie is just what you would expect from such a movie: girls, action and great villains... But done better. Essentially, you get everything that you would want from an action movie and a bond movie, but this time done better than any other bond movie you've watched.

CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE FIRST AVENGER

"Captain America: The First Avenger" is yet another Marvel movie on Netflix that is worth your time. Starring Chris Evans as Captain America, this movie once again is filled with great action scenes, pulls emotion from you, and develops it's characters to the point where you wish that you could just shake their hands. The plot in this movie is what you expect from a Marvel movie: with an antagonist, a protagonist, a love interest, and a great movie. The action scenes in this movie, like the others, is great, the character development is once again amazing, and though the overall movie is just a bit cliché, the entire thing is a joy ride that is 100% worth your time (if you like Marvel Movies)

THOR

Yet ANOTHER Marvel movie has made my list (maybe I'm just a sucker for 'em). Though, some people don't like the fact that in this movie THOR is not all god like the entire thing, but to be honest that was part of what I loved about this movie. The way they showed THOR going from this immature reckless boy to a wise man was great, the transition that they showed between the this one character was effective without being cheesy. The acting was once again great and as in most Marvel movies the humor was on par as well. Once again if you like Marvel movies, this will definitely satisfy your Super Hero hunger.
