The Real Reason Why Solange Attacked Beyonce's Husband Jay-Z in the Elevator
A-List Celebs: Beyonce & Jay-Z

Jay-Z & Solange Fight in Elevator
You Haven't Seen it Yet?
If you haven't seen the most-talked about video in the world right now, please take a moment to view TMZ's video of Solange attacking Jay-Z in the elevator.
An Idea of How Much Beyonce's Privacy Means to Her
Beyonce's Privacy Exposed
Beyoncé is one of the A-list celebrities who strives hard to maintain a sense of privacy even though her life is on a stage for the world to view. When prompted to speak about her private life, both she and her husband give very vague responses, or decline to answer certain questions. In a life where you give every part of you to the world, it’s understandable that there’s a small part that she would like to keep for herself. However, a recent video released by TMZ has shockingly revealed a part of Beyoncé’s personal life that I’m certain she did not want the world to be aware of. This video shows footage (without audio) of Jay-Z, Beyoncé, and Solange entering the elevator to leave the Met Gala event. Inside the elevator, we see a very irate Solange attacking Jay-Z while the bodyguards try to keep her away from him. Beyoncé stands off to the side, doing nothing, and often looking down at the floor.
This leaves the world with one burning question: What in the world did Jay-Z do to piss Solange off like that?
Beyonce & Solange

What in the world did Jay-Z do to piss Solange off like that?
The truth to this question is that we will probably never know what really triggered Solange’s anger. However, we can make speculations as to what happened based on factual evidence.
Evidence 1: As the video clearly shows, Solange was already pissed before they even walked onto the elevator because before the doors could barely close, she lit into him.
Evidence 2: This wasn’t a little bit of anger. Solange’s anger was off the scale. Not only did she punch at him with her fists and try to kick him, but she also spat at him and tried to get back at him numerous times while the bodyguards held her at bay.
Evidence 3: Not once did Beyoncé look surprised by the outburst, neither did she try to come between them until the very end of the footage when they were about to step off the elevator.
Evidence 4: Solange was saying something to Jay-Z, truly giving him a piece of her mind and Beyoncé didn’t seem to be interrupting Solange’s verbal onslaught.
Evidence 5: When Solange leaves the hotel, she does not look intoxicated, and she is not struggling to walk upright.
Evidence 6: When they were about to enter their limo, the bodyguard would not let Jay-Z inside the limo. Solange enters the limo first and just before Beyoncé dips her head into the limo, she gives a little smile.
Wendy Willaim's Interview Shows Even More Evidence!
What Does this Evidence Means?
Like Wendy Williams points out in her interview, this exchange between Solange and Jay-Z is not a first-time occurrence. If this was a first-time occurrence, Beyoncé would have been doing something—holding up her hands at her sister, trying to talk to her, calm her, something—to diffuse the situation. Solange’s attack on Jay-Z almost seems like she’s trying to take up for/protect her sister’s best interest. Jay-Z did something. Whatever it is that he did, it pissed Solange off to the point that she was no longer able to control her anger.

Is Jay-Z Disrespecting Beyoncé?
Beyoncé keeps her personal life private so we do not really know what’s going on in her marriage, but we can make some speculations. Wendy suggests that at the Met Gala, Jay-Z may have intentionally brushed against the buttocks of one of his old flames while Beyoncé was standing right there, and Solange saw the indiscretion. She goes on to suggest that this isn’t the first time that Jay-Z disrespected Beyoncé in this type of manner and Solange has basically had enough of his bull. Thus, she sets it off in the elevator, taking up for her big sister and letting Jay-Z know that she’s not going to allow him to hurt her.

Mayhem in the Marriage?
Could it be true that not all is well on the marital front for Beyoncé and Jay-Z? Well, we don’t know the facts, but evidence suggests that there may be some trouble in paradise.
Evidence 1: Beyoncé has been spotted not wearing her wedding ring.
Evidence 2: Beyoncé was secretly eyeing Jay-Z’s phone while he was texting at a game.
Evidence 3: Remember, Beyoncé gave a brilliant smile just before dipping her head into the limo—what is there to smile about after your younger sister just open a can of whoopit on your husband just seconds before the limo ride?
Family Releases a Statement
According to CBS, Beyoncé, Jay-Z, and Solange released a public statement concerning what transpired in the elevator. Beyonce states, “They both acknowledge their role in this private matter that has played out in the public. They both have apologized to each other and we have moved forward as a united family,” (CBS, 2014). However, the statement gives no insight into what triggered the attack in the elevator. You can read the entire article here:

What Do YOU Think?
Why do you think Solange attacked Jay-Z?
In Closing
Speculation 1: Jay-Z did something very inappropriate that disrespected Beyoncé, and it’s very likely that this isn’t the first time that he’s stepped out of line.
Speculation 2: Solange’s love for her sister and outrage at her brother-in-law’s lack of respect for Beyoncé motivated Solange to attack him in the elevator to let him know how she really feels about his behavior.
This family will continue to maintain their sense of privacy. I believe Solange is burning to let the world know what’s really going on with Jay-Z, but she loves her sister so dearly that she respects Beyoncé’s desire to keep her marriage private. But I believe that the leaking of this video is just the beginning, because there is nothing hidden that will not be disclosed, nothing concealed that will not be brought out in the open (Luke 12:2).

Thanks for your feedback. My argument for the most part has little to do with how hard a man hits a woman. I'm simply saying the woman should (never) hit a man period and not expect to get hit back!
If I had a daughter I would strongly advise her not to (initiate) any physical violence towards men. It's simply not a smart move! No one should be hitting anyone.
As for Zimmerman I feel like he was completely in the wrong the moment the 911 operator told him NOT to follow or confront Trayvon Martin. If a black man shot and a killed a 17 year old white male after being instructed not to confront the teen he would not have been allowed to go home that evening let alone be vindicated in court.
A few weeks afterwards a black woman in Florida shot a "warning shot" against her said to be violent husband under the guise of "stand your ground" and she was sentenced to 20 years! (She did not even wound her husband). http://www.cnn.com/2012/05/11/justice/florida-stan...
No, I don't think he'd be wrong to hit her back. Being an intelligent person I could never understand why someone would slap a grizzly bear across the face. It makes no sense! Words don't justify violence period.
I once had a woman ask me if the hitting back rule applied if a child hit me. I told her; " Let me put it this way, if I had ever hit my mother I would not be here with you having this discussion!" LOL!
I grew up in an era where we did not have "time-outs" we had "knock-outs". :-) Kids didn't even roll their eyes in front of their parents.
Awhile back I wrote a hub on this very topic of violence double standards. https://hubpages.com/relationships/Is-It-Ok-For-A-...
Clearly this is one of those "double standards" that society has. As you stated: "This leaves the world with one burning question: What in the world did Jay-Z do to piss Solange off like that?" Is there any real justification?
If a man had attacked a woman in the elevator no one would be asking that question! Instead everyone would be saying: "There is NO justification for a man to put his hands on a woman!"
Odds are the police would have arrested Jay-Z even if no one called them to press charges! The media and viewers would have demanded it!
From time to time I've watched shows like "Cheaters" and "The Maury Povich Show" and whenever a (woman) discovers her man has cheater on her she will slap, take a swing or kick at him. However when a man discovers his woman has cheated on him all he does is (verbally) attack her.
As you said we may never know why Solange blew a fuse. I grew up in an era where my (mother) told me if someone hits you to hit them back! Unlike Jay-Z me and a lot of other guys I know would have retaliated.
Instead of our society preaching that men should not hit women I think it's time to preach (no one should be hitting anyone!)
If a man is not going to hit a woman back he needs to press charges! It's time to put an end to this violent double standard. One man's opinion! :-)
