The TV Series: The River

Updated on March 18, 2012

When I first heard of this TV series, The River, the previews that they showed made it seem interesting. I decided to start watching it since it came out on Tuesdays at 8 p.m. just to see if it was worth watching.

This show is almost like paranormal activity and even The Blair Witch Project, a show recorded within a show, if that makes any sense. To those of you who don't know what I am talking about, The River is a show based on an explorer who disappears after being several months in the jungle. His wife and his son decide to go looking for him because she has a feeling that he is alive along with some of the crew members that were with him. It is during their search for him that they learn that he was looking for magic and they noticed how he started to change. While they are looking for him, Emmet, they face different scary or suspenseful situations. But they do not give up looking because they say that they didn't come that far to stop looking. The many situations that they go through brings them closer to finding Emmet and they are not going to give up until they find him.

This is good way to catch the attention of TV viewers but after several episodes you realize, it isn't scary, it is more suspenseful and you start to think what more can they come up with. Next Tuesday is the season finale, I don't want to spoil any episodes that I have seen for those who want to view it online but you may find it interesting. I am hoping to find a good season finale episode so I can say that It was a good show. Some shows they start off good to only have a not so good finale whether it is a season finale or just their final episode.

What do you think of the show, if you have seen it or been keeping up with it? Was it worth watching?

What do you think of The River?
