The Ten Hottest Young Celebrities In Hollywood

Updated on March 31, 2016

So Much For Keeping Cool This Summer

The summer blockbuster season is in full swing, and with a laundry list of big movies still to come, I wanted to take this opportunity to countdown The Ten Hottest Young Celebrities In Hollywood. Not only are these some of the hottest young stars of today, but they are the future box-office superstars of tomorrow.

So pour yourself something cold to drink, grab the sunscreen, and get ready because here they come.

Dakota Fanning

Already a Hollywood veteran at the tender age of 17, Dakota Fanning has been charming audiences since her breakout role in 2001's "I Am Sam" staring Sean Penn and Michelle Pfeiffer. It was this performance that made Dakota the "go-to-girl" anytime they needed a cute kid for a movie.

Having logged screen time with some of Tinsel-Towns biggest stars (Tom Cruise, Denzel Washington, Kurt Russel, Queen Latifah, and more), she is transitioning into more grown-up roles with ease. As lead singer Cherie Currie of The Runaways in the bio pic of the same name, Dakota proved that she wasn't a little girl anymore, sharing the screen (and a steamy kissing scene) with Twilight co-star Kristen Stewart.

Tom Felton

Having spent ten years playing one of the most hated characters in the world (Draco Malfoy), Tom Felton certainly didn't waste any time putting his Slytherin days behind him.

Having dropped his British accent and blonde hair for his role in the biggest movie of the year so far, "Rise of the Planet of the Apes", Tom Felton has shown that he's more than just a wicked face.

With an insane six movies due out this year, Tom is proving to be one of the hardest working celebrities in show business. If he keeps this up, we might just be playing "six degrees of Tom Felton" one day.

Emma Watson

After spending a decade playing the ever-present know it all Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies, Emma Watson is quickly establishing herself as a bona fide style icon, having already graced the covers of some of fashion's biggest publications (Elle, Vanity Fair, Vogue).

Now that the Potter series has come to a close, the 21 year old starlet is moving on with a new pixie cut and roles in series of films due out over the next couple of years. Emma say's she's also looking forward to getting back and finishing college. If she's anything like the character she's spent most of her life portraying, I have no doubt that she'll be able to juggle it all with no problem.

Kellan Lutz

He's one of the oldest on our list, but at 26, Kellan Lutz is just starting to hit it big in Hollywood. Having cut his teeth (pardon the pun) on comedic roles, Kellan beat out thousands of other actors to land the part of Vampire bad-ass Emmet Cullen in the Twilight Saga. Since then, he's quickly been on the path to certified action star with roles in "Arena" and "Immortals"

With two more Twilight movies to go ("Breaking Dawn" 1 & 2), and a sting of films in production at the moment, Kellan Lutz will be heating up screens for at least the foreseeable future.

Abigail Breslin

Saying that New York City native Abigail Breslin is one of the best young actresses in Hollywood today isn't just lip service, she's more than capable of backing it up. Nominated for an Academy Award at only 10 years old (for 2007's "Little Miss Sunshine"), she has proven to have some serious chops when it comes to acting with the "big kids".

When asked about her future, Abigail has said that she want's to try her hand behind the camera someday, expressing interest in such aspects as; hair, make up, writing, producing, and directing. One thing's for certain, no matter what she does, she'll be amazing at it. As for now, after lending her voice to the animated Johnny Dep western "Rango", Abigail will be returning to the screen in "New Years Eve" due out later this year.

Zac Efron

What can you say about the guy dubbed the "New Tom Cruise"? A lot actually. This kid (he's actually 24) can sing, he can dance, and, not to be indelicate, he can put the butts in the seats, so to speak.

An alum of Disney's "High School Musical" franchise, Efron made the transition to more serious work with his role in 2010's "Charlie St. Cloud".

Staring with fellow list member Abigail Breslin in "New Years Eve" (due out later this year), Zac is continuing to establish himself as a mainstream star, and not just a family/kid flick star.

Emma Roberts

So what does it take to be one of the hottest young celebrities in Hollywood? I'm not sure, but killer genetics couldn't hurt, as in the case of our next young star, Emma Roberts. If that last name and gorgeous smile look familiar, there's good reason, she's the daughter of Academy Award Nominee (and certified bad-ass) Eric Roberts, and the niece of Oscar winning actress Julia Roberts.

Having starred in the 2010 ensemble Rom-Com "Valentine's Day" with her Aunt Julia (and half of Hollywood), Emma has shown that she's leaving her days as Nancy Drew behind her. Having had roles in Scream 4, and "The Art of Getting By", Emma Robert's is definitely on her way to carrying on the family's A-List tradition.

Taylor Lautner

Another young heartthrob, Taylor Lautner has come a long way from his days as "Shark boy". As Bella Swan's furry best friend (and captain of "Team Jacob") Jacob Black in the Twilight Saga, Taylor Lautner has continued to build on his action movie roots.

With the action-thriller "Abduction" due out later this year, along with the first of the final two Twilight movies, Lautner will be keeping himself extremely busy.

Evanna Lynch

As the Harry Potter franchise comes to a close, Evanna Lynch is beginning to make the transition away from her role as Loony- sorry, Luna Lovegood, and into more adult roles. This 20 year old beauty is currently working on a few projects in London, preparing for her transition to full time Hollywood starlet.

Having been rumored as one of the potential stars of the upcoming "Dirty Dancing" remake, I'm sure that there are big things in store for this Potter Alum. I'm not sure why she isn't receiving more buzz, considering she was a fan favorite in the last four Potter movies, but "I suspect nargles are behind it".

Daniel Radcliffe

Quite possibly one of the most recognizable (and unfortunately, type-cast) faces in Hollywood, Daniel Radcliffe faces an uphill battle to break free of his days as everyone's favorite scar-headed wizard. His Harry Potter days now behind him, only time will tell if he'll be able to break-the-spell (yeah I did) of the over $20 billion dollar franchise.

With a role in next years horror flick "The Woman In Black", we'll see if young Mr. Radcliffe can break away from the role that made him famous. He already enjoys a very successful Broadway career, starring with Tony Award winner John Larroquette in "How To Succeed In Business Without Really Trying"

Thanks, I'm glad you liked it =)

I'm holding out hope that all the kids from the Potter series will have great careers, but when you look at the fact that there is a whole generation now that recognizes them as Harry, Hermione, Luna, and Draco Malfoy, they're going to have an uphill battle.

Billy, lots of new young talent here. You have done a great job of researching your topic. I will be interested to see how "Harry Potter" does in his future career.
