The Young and the Restless May Have New Love Triangles or two Super Couples in the Making
Chance may have Phyllis and Abby seeking his company
On Tuesday's episode of The Young and the Restless, all the action was surrounding Simon Black and the hostage crisis at the Grand Hotel. Chance Chancellor jumped through the ceiling and apprehended the criminal after Aam knocked the gun out of his hand. Paul and Rey took him to jail and the crisis was averted. There were subtle hints throughout the episode of romantic drama to come. Phyllis made sure that Phillip Chancellor the IV knew the importance of her new security system and insinuated herself into the situation so she could have partial credit for Simon being apprehended,
When all was said and done, Chance told Paul how Abby created a distraction that allowed him to close in on the suspect. Abby beamed with pride and seemed to have an extra bright smile as she gazed at Jill's grandson. Not one to be outdone, Phyllis ran up and stood shoulder to shoulder with the federal agent and announced her part in getting things done. Chance seemed focused on the assignment at hand but now that it is over things may be different.
He and Phyllis had an instant connection and great chemistry, but Abby is on the prowl now that she and Nate are history. The two women are forced to work together at the Grand Phoenix but continue to be bitter rivals. Should Chance choose one or the other, there is the potential for a super couple. This could also turn out to be a love triangle that goes on for quite a while in Genoa City. Since this is all in the beginning stages, there is no telling which direction The Young and the Restless writers will take these characters.
Chelsea must choose between Nick and Adam
When it was first announced that Melissa Claire Egan was returning to The Young and the Restless spoiler alerts projected a grand "Chaddam" reunion. What happened instead, was Chelsea turning on the father of her son and treating him like a pariah. To add insult to injury, she ended up with his brother Nick. Now it seems that Conner's parents may end up together after all. On Monday and Tuesday as Simon Black held Abby, Chelse, Conner and Adam hostage, the prodigal Newman said he would take a bullet for his family and offered himself in place of Connner when Simon wanted to take the child with him.
While Paul was tying to negociate with Simon on the phone, Ms. Lawson came clean with Adam about Mr. Black being after Calvin's money. She said her lies are why eveyone was in danger but Adam said he understood that it's not always possible to tell the truth. He embraced his former wife and promised to get them all out of the situation. Once Chance knocked Simon out, Nick rushed in and took Chelsea in his arms. After a few moments, however, Chelsea said she had to be with her son.
She went over to Adam and Conner and embraced them both as Nick looked on. The chemistry between Chaddam is still strong and Ms. Lawson may find herself in a situation where she must choose between the Newman brothers. Nick hates his half sibling and his irrational behavior, and unwiingness to give Aam a break may work out in his brother's favor.
The future will hold heartbreak for some
Celeb Dirty Laundry suggests that The Young and the Restless has been laying the groundwork for a relationship between Chance and Phyllis for several months. The spoiler speculates that Abby will be the one to get burned because she is always unlucky in love. It's also likely that Chadam fans will find their favorite couple back together. While Chelsea opened up to Aam about Simon, she put Nick off and this will only cause him to become more volatile.
The Young and the Restless will be preempted on Wednesday and Friday, November 13 and 15 because of the impeachment hearings. The CBS daytime drama will also be interrupted the following week for the same reason so stay tuned for details.
