The most unlikely celebrity embarrassments of all time

Updated on December 23, 2015

Two unlikely celebrity embarrassments

Within the last few months the world has seen two of the most unlikely celebrity scandals from two very famous men probably in the history of the Unites States.

The first of these and by far the worst is the Bill Cosby scandal where no less than 30 different women have come forward and told the world that Bill Cosby both drugged and molested them many years ago. Prior to the news of this horrendous story Bill Cosby was considered one of the best comedians of all time and a man who had a PHD in education and was one of the most revered and respected celebrities in this country. He never cursed in his act, not even once in all the many hours he has performed over 50 years. After this news it has been a downward spiral of disbelief and humiliation and the complete destruction of his good name in the media. I have often wondered why he had continued to tour and perform comedy considering the huge number of women who have accused him of the same crimes. Most recently there has been another younger woman who has come forward and accused him of the same sex crimes and in this case, the statute of limitations is not a factor and Bill Cosby may be arrested for a sex crime.

Most recently Brian Williams the great NBC news anchor, who in my opinion is the best of all time has been suspended from his job for 6 months without pay for lying about a helicopter attack in 2003 while in IRAQ, where inexplicably he told David Letterman that his helicopter was hit by mortar fire. Why would he say this when it was not true? Why would he lie when he must have known that it would be discovered that this was not true? In some ways this story with Brian Williams is even more unlikely and unbelievable than the Bill Cosby story. Brian Williams? A conservative, white bread almost perfect person and great news anchor making a mistake like this is so unbelievable that its something that anybody who watches him on the news would never have ever predicted would ever happen. Now after a mistake like this the odds are pretty high that he will never anchor NBC news again and he has effectively ruined this career as the best news anchor in Television news.

I for one, hope he gets a second chance and gets his job back in 6 months. I also hope that no other lie like this he might have told resurfaces because of that happens, he is definitely not going to get a second chance with NBC.
