The woman in black (review)

The woman in black (review)

Horror films I simply love, being spooked I guess is the thrill of seeing one. Ever since I can remember I’ve always love to watch a good horror movie. Now I don’t know if I’ve watched too many of the years or that we are less shock able. But these days horror films don’t seem to be as good or don’t have the trick of spooking me anymore I’m not sure which.

I friend mentioned that he had been to see “The woman in black” starring Daniel Radcliff, Mr Harry potter himself. Well to be honest thinking Harry Potter put me off going to see the film. But after a really long and hard week I decided to make an effort and go and see what my friend raved about. Also giving me a chance to put my feet up and do nothing for a few hours.

Having got my ticket, drink and pop corn and went and sat down waiting for the film to start. Some 90 minutes later I could see why my friend couldn’t stop talking about.

The Woman in Black

The film itself is very well done indeed and credit to the producer, the film was and is I would say is AWESOME, making me jump more than once I must admit and one point I said out loudly “oh shit” it made me go cold and I had hairs standing up in my arms. Yes “The woman I n black” certainly did the trick in spooking me. Great story through, and it has the feel of the classic Hammer films which I loved when I was in my teens. Horror as it should be, brilliant from start to finish, shocks at all the right times

The lead role played by Daniel Radcliff to be fair he played it well and is acting is super, although saying that I think the role would have been sorted to an older actor. The casting and acting were brilliant, a most go a see film if you like horror/thriller films and being spooked. I often say that it better to see a film on the big screen were you get the full enjoyment of the film and this as to be seen on the big screen. I can’t see it having the same affect on the small when it comes out on DVD.

Overall 10 out of 10 for this, you won’t be disappointed. This is only what I think of the film, and if and when you see it for yourself you may think differently as everyone got a different opinion to each other.

Take care and enjoy :)

Good review! I'm not normally into horror movies but I'm tempted to see this one.
