Thor vs the Hulk: Make it happen in the Thor movie

Updated on June 29, 2011

Dear Marvel Comics Movie Manager:

When the Thor movie comes out in 2011, please be sure to include a scene in there of Thor vs the Hulk.

These two are your best known powerhouses and we'd like to see them square-off, mano a mano. We want to see Hulk vs the Avengers too, but we can wait for that in the Avengers movie. We want to see a one-on-one match between Thor and the Hulk before the storyline gets convoluted.

We'd like to see Thor go berserk when he succumbs to Warrior's Madness increasing his strength in a fight (Incredible Hulk vol. 2 #440).

We'd like to see Thor summmon a bolt of lightning to knock out the Hulk (Hulk 2001 Annual).

And we want to see Thor tough out punches from a behemoth who can knock down buildings (Incredible Hulk vol 2 #255).

We don't want to see David vs. Goliath. That's Spider-Man territory and requires too much thinking.

What we want to see is a train-wreck. Something along the lines of Mothra vs. Godzilla, Undertaker vs Mankind, and Rocky vs Ivan Drago.

The fight between the two superheroes does not have to take up the whole Thor movie. It could be something in the beginning to set the tone for Thor's place in the Marvel universe. After all, he is not a super-powered earthling, but a Nordic god.

And how best do you show the strength of a god?

Sincerely,

Comic book fan

PS. Consider this, the Hulk is CG nowadays. You don't have to pay a SAG actor for screen time. And since you're going to use CG anyways, just write-in the Hulk vs Thor in one of the sequences.

Thanks optimus. I figure that since the Hulk is CGI, they can put him in without too much cost. That would make the Thor movie that much more appealing.
