Toy Story

Updated on April 9, 2011

To Infinity and Beyond

To infinity and beyond! Pixar and Disney work together to create the world's first, and one of the best computer animated films of all time. The level of animation in this film is just mind boggling. Featuring the voices the of Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear). The movie is about a toy, Woody, whom becomes jealous of another new toy, Buzz Lightyear, that his owner gets for holidays. However, through a series of odd circumstances causes Buzz to get lost, and it's up to Woody to bring him home safely. "Toy Story" is one of the best animated films I've ever seen.

The level of animation in this film is definitely ahead of its' time. I remember when I first saw this movie, I couldn't take my eyes off the screen. Heck, all the famous toys that most of us have known and loved over the years are done well in this film from Mr. Potato Head to those plastic army guys. As it seems, Pixar/Disney has spared no expense in crafting such a masterpiece. "Toy Story" is a visual masterpiece for all to see.

Unlike most Disney films, that involve the typical love story that has become its' "bread and butter" for its' animated films. "Toy Story" is actually more of a buddy film. Unless you count Woody's brief interactions with a Little Bo Peep doll. No, as it seems Pixar has taken Disney in an entirely new direction with this one. Tom Hanks and Tim Allen are just hillarious together as they start off as would be rivals, but they end up buddies in the end. I swear I can't remember the last time I've had so much fun watching a movie. Fans will be laughing uncontrollably when they see scenes like Buzz dressing up as girl for a tea party, and who could forget the part where the toys scare the snot out of a bully. I absolutely love this film.

The film does seem a bit cliched at times, and it's predictable. However, the film should keep anyone glued to the screen.

"Toy Story" is a visually stunning work of art. Featuring great talents and a very funny story that'll make anyone laugh. Overall, "Toy Story" is one of the best animated films ever.
