Tokyo Ghoul - A must see anime.
Tokyo Ghoul is a dark fantasy series that is about the life of 19 year old Ken Kaneki who is attacked by a ghoul. With the help of an emergency transplant, Kaneki wakes up feeling different and with the urge to eat human flesh. Kaneki has too much of a kind heart to come to those terms and after stumbling upon another ghoul named Touka Kirishima. From there Touka brings Kaneki to a coffee chop where other ghouls like himself refuse to eat human flesh and drink coffee and eat a jelly donut that does not make them sick.
In the beginning Kaneki is lured and attacked by ghoul Rize Kamishiro. Luckily for him he is found and transported to the hospital where received many organ transplants as majority of him organs are missing. When Ken Kaneki came to from his coma, all scared and wondering on how he survived. Kaneki goes home and tries to eat normal food, however he gets sick no matter what he eats. Searching for answers, he wonders around the city seeking answers when all of a sudden he craves human flesh. After much struggle to fight the urges, he comes across another ghoul and then on, Kaneki and his new family of ghouls try to live the life of a human.
In Japan, Tokyo Ghoul was created in Pierrot Studios and the manga was created in Shueisha Inc. The license was soon obtained by Funimation Entertainment around the same year. I will say I do love the cast both Japanese and English.
- Austin Tindle plays the main protagonist, Ken Kaneki.
- Monica Rial, who not only plays Rize Kamishiro, is also the script adapter does a great job.
- Brina Palencia as Touka Kirishima.
- And so much more.
So not to spoil the show, I think overall that Tokyo Ghoul is a great show.
