2. Extraordinary You

Titles:

  • 'Extraordinary You'
  • 'Ha-roo Found by Chance' (translation from Korean title)
  • 'July Found by Chance' (tentative title/Original Comic Title)

Aired: October 2, 2019 - present

Description: Eun Dan-oh (Kim Hye-yoon) is a seemingly likable high school student in a prestigious academy, but she one day becomes self-aware and realizes that her life is just a part of a romance comic book and she is just an extra that will soon die because of her heart ailment. She then went on in a quest of going against the writer's plan for her faith with the help of a nameless extra she named Ha-ru (Kim Ro-woon).

This is a new fantasy series that is fresh and immensely charming. This bends the traditional cringy high school romance story and creates an interesting contemporary tale that's already well-loved and continually receives positive reviews before the series even ends. This, for me, is the best young-adult K-drama of 2019.

She then meets Koo Chan-Seong (Yeo Jin-goo), a young man that will be the hotel's new general manager.

This series is named the eighth-highest-rated Korean drama in cable television history and there is no denying why. IU gives us a wonderful portrayal of a boss woman and the whole story is a very unique one. It is a horror, romantic comedy, and dark fantasy drama with an absolutely beautiful aesthetic that will be so hard to full off. This is one interesting show that you should never miss.

This is an insanely funny and interesting story that would make us all fall in love with the characters. As if we still need to have more reasons to love IU, this K-drama shows us her amazing acting prowess and charm. Plus, her leading men are all so dreamy it's impossible not to enjoy every single scene. 8. Legend of the Blue Sea

Title: 'Legend of the Blue Sea'

Cheong is apparently a mermaid who has swam oceans to find a guy who looked like Joon-jae way back from the Jeseon era. This story is inspired by an old legendary tale of a fisherman who captures and releases a mermaid.

This is one of the most interesting fantasy stories that feature themes like reincarnation and mythical creatures. Lee Min-ho and Jun Ji-hyun gave out so much chemistry and portrayed their roles awesomely. This is another extraordinary love story that many viewers loved and one of the bests K-dramas of 2017.

Hello, Conscious Dreamer. I really love those dramas as well and I also hope I was able to include Healer because I heard it was one of the best but I had to limit the list to just a few. Thank you for reading. Have a great day.
