Christmas Season has arrived

Well December has arrived, and it's time to enjoy and have some party.This is a month of Christmas as well and lots of traditions are performed all over the world during this time.It is a celebration season and a precious period to enjoy your moments with your family and friends.

Celebrations are incomplete without enjoying Christmas movies & Telly with your family members.Movies are an excellent source of relaxing your nerves and enjoying your family time in best way possible.

In order to do that, you should have handy a list of movies you want to enjoy during your winter holidays & Christmas time.Either you want to enjoy a classic or some comedy, Christmas movies all have inside, you can have fun with.

And to give you a lot of entertainment this festive season, I have got a list of Top 10 Best Inspirational Christmas Movies you can enjoy over this special time.

1- How the Grinch Stole Christmas(2000)

First one on the list is 'How the Grinch Stole Christmas'.It is an amazing classic comedy to enjoy with your kids and family.In this movie the green Grinch(Jim Carrey) decides to ruin Christmas holiday for the people of a small town Whoville.

He hears sounds of Christmas festival in his cave at top of the mountain and is so annoyed of all this celebration that he plans to steal all the presents, trees and food to destroy people's enjoyment.So he disguises himself as Santa Claus and his little dog Max as Reindeer and drives down the mountain to ruin others' Christmas party.

Second on the list is Elf (2003) as Will Ferrell is the best entertainer of fantasy comedy classics.Without Elf Christmas is incomplete and this movie gives you a tummy ache every time you watch it.Its a very good and well presented comedy to enjoy with your kids and family.

Especially when its snow outside in chilling December then nobody can make you laugh and laugh better than this fantasy which takes you to different world of Elf in North Pole where he is raised among Santa's elves.

Will Ferrell (Elf) was a baby in orphanage who stowed away in Santa's bag and reached North Pole.Later, he raised on as an adult human by elves and remained unfit because of his size, is sent to New York city to find his real Dad, Walter Hobbs.

Once in the city, Elf does everything wrong as crossing the streets at wrong time and chewing discarded gum on the street.Eventually Elf meets his father Walter and after DNA proves Walter as his real daddy, Walter takes him home to live with his wife and another son Micheal.

On Christmas Eve, real things unfolds when Elf is heart broken by Walter's behaviour and goes out to roam the streets, but sees Santa's broken Sleigh in Central park and tries to fix it.

But only way to fix the Sleigh is with true Christmas spirit and songs which can do magic to fix it.

Full of Christmas magic and Elf's innocent nature and true passion ,it's an amazing movie to enjoy this winter.

3- The Polar Express(2004)

On 3rd number stands another super hit American animated movie 'The Polar Express'.This movie is based on the 1985 children's book of the same name by Chris Van Allsburg.This is the most magical Christmas film ever which will take you to the fairy wonderland of North Pole where you'll feel Christmas spirit everywhere.

It's a story of young boy who is in doubt of Santa's existence.On Christmas Eve when he awaits on his bed for Santa Claus to come, he hears the sound of a train engine outside and whistle of train roars outside.The conductor requests him to board the train for an extraordinary journey to the North Pole with other pyjamas boys.

Both of them swap their homes at Christmastime after heartbreaking break ups with their boyfriends.But it happens to be good luck for them somewhere and they both find their true love with the local man.

Cameron Diaz falls for Jude Law while in England, and Kate Winslet falls for Jack Black while in Los Angeles.And despite all their difference and living situations, all four of them come together to celebrate New Year's in England.

You'd fall in love with the characters, their unconditional love and fascinating dialogues.Its certainly a romantic classic comedy to freshen up your minds and give you some romantic air in this holiday season.

5- Four Christmases (2008)

No film can entertain you better than this one.Its a romantic comedy full of Christmas spirit.It's a story of an unmarried couple who's Christmas plan falls apart with morning fog and they have no choice but to spend their Christmas day with all of their four divorced parents.

Brad and Kate always had managed on each Christmas to escape from their family and had enjoyed their holidays at different exotic lands.But this time unfortunately all their flights got cancelled, and their parents got to know where they were.

Both of them had no choice but to spend their Christmas with their parents.

And today would be a day when they both won't be spared and would face the worse, of knowing many secrets which they were hiding from each other for many years.

So it's worth watching this movie if you want to see family drama and a bit of comedy full of Christmas magic.

This computer animated fantasy drama stands at No 6th on the list.The movie is an adaptation of the Charles Dickens story of same name, starring Jim Carrey in a triple role, including Ebenezer Scrooge as a young, middle aged and an old man, and there are three ghosts who haunt Scrooge.

Its a very interesting story of learning kindness, generosity, and compassion by looking at Scrooge's past, present and then future, and the teachers are ghosts which makes the story more entertaining and fascinating for its viewers.

7- A Christmas Kiss (2011)

No film can make you laugh more than this classic comedy and romantic Christmas movie.Wendy Walton ( Laura Breckenridge) is an inspiring interior designer who accidentally meets a stranger Adam Haughes (Brendan Fehr) and shares a kiss with him in an elevator.But later she finds out that he is the boy friend of her dominating boss.

Wendy gets a chance to decorate his home for coming Christmas event and this is the time when they both get to know each other and this is how, Adam Haughes decides that which woman holds a key to his future happiness.

Well this musical comedy will give you some adventure on Christmas and is best to enjoy during your winter holidays.The film features Bill Murray who awaits in his hotel on Christmas Eve, realising that a heavy storm has hit the town and most of his Christmas Special guests have cancelled to come.

So as time runs out, his producers force him to go on with the show and with minimum crew Murray goes live.But starts crying in the middle and leaves the studio.And after that, there is a lot to have fun with and you'll see somewhere, there would be rooms for Christmas Carols to be sung by actors and more bits and pieces of a true holiday cheer in this frosty December.

10- A Nutcracker Christmas (2016)

Last but not least is this amazing movie originally broadcast on the Hallmark Channel in 2016.It's a wonderful family film which will take your emotions to high esteem with tragic story of a little girl Lily who wants to become a ballerina.

But there is tragedy around her dream as her sister dies just then when she is ready to take the stage to perform as ballerina.As a result, she vows never to dance again.But yet there is hope in the story too when she can change her mind with a chance encounter.

You'll feel the film very deeply inside your heart as everyone has some tragic story which results sometimes in broken dreams, left never to be fulfilled.

But yet, there is hope all the time and some little incident can lead you to your dreams destination.

At the end, I have tried my best to give you excellent list of Christmas movies you can watch and have fun with during winter holidays.As it's a family time, and nothing can relax you better than films.

I love to watch movies during holidays with my husband and kids.Especially kids movies are our favourites as my little girl Zahra loves animated movies and Disney Frozen are her favourites.

And my son is after spider man all the times, on the other hand, my hubby loves action and historical ones.But during Christmas holidays, we all love to watch some comedy animated classics which can make us laugh and my kids enjoy those most.

      I've seen some of the movies in your list, but many of them are new to me. Thanks for describing them. I'll watch some of them over Christmas. My favourite movie from the list is Elf. My favourite Christmas Movie of all is the Alastair Sim version of A Christmas Carol.
