Top 10 Most Anticipated Movies of 2017

So many Hollywood movies are lined up for release in the year 2017. This year will definitely prove to be a very promising year for the Hollywood film industry, as movies of every genre are there on the list. But there are some movies about which there are a lot of anticipations and people are eagerly waiting for their releases. Well, we will discuss some of the most hyped movies of 2017.

1. Alien: Covenant

It's a Sci-fi, horror film, directed by Ridley Scott and written by John Logan. This film is the sequel to the movie Prometheus, which was released in 2012. The movie is about a crew of colony ship who are on some mission to some distant planet and unexpectedly found an unfamiliar place with a threat beyond their imagination. The story is all about how they survive that difficult situation and escape.

2. Spider-Man: Homecoming

This Superhero film is scheduled to release on 7th July this year in 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D formats, its sequel is also planned and will release in the year 2019. The film will follow the events of its prequel Captain America: Civil War which was released in 2016. The story narrates, Peter Parkers struggle to balance his life between his high school and his career as a web singing superhero, Spider-Man.

3. Star Wars: The Last Jedi

It's an action movie releasing on 15TH December. The film is directed by Rian Johnson. This one is the sequel to Star Wars: The Force Awakens which was released in 2015. Its sequel is also planned and due to release in 2019.

4. War for the planet of the Apes

Releasing worldwide on 14th of July, it's an action, adventure film. Directed by Matt Reeves and Written by Mark Bomback. Its prequel was released in 2014 with the name, Dawn of the Planet of the Apes. The film will follow the events of its prequel. Caesar and Apes are in a war against the human army to save their species on the earth.

5. Wonder Woman

This is an action movie based on the comic character named as Wonder Woman. The film is directed by Patty Jenkins. The story starts when an American pilot crashes on the island of Themyscira and tells Diana, Princess of Amazon, about some serious conflicts in the outside world. She leaves her home to fight the war and becomes wonder woman in this process. The movie is releasing on 2nd June 2017.

6. Transformers

The Last Knight - This is the Sci-fi, action movie, releasing on 21st June in 2D, 3D, and IMAX3D. It is the sequel of Transformers: Age of Extinction which was released in 2014. The director of the film Michael Bay has declared that this film will be the final part of the franchise. A war has started between the humans and the transformers and to save the earth, Cade Yeager along with Bumblebee and an Oxford Professor try to find out the purpose of why transformers keep coming back to earth.

7. Pirates of the Caribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales

Releasing on 26th May, in Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D formats. This film is the Fifth part of the Pirates Of The Caribbean Film Series. Directed by Joachim Ronning and written by Jeff Nathanson. Earlier it was planned to release in 2015 and then in 2016, but now it is finally releasing on 26th. The reason behind this delay was, it's script and the budget of the film. The movie spins around Capt Jack Sparrow(Johnny Depp) and his experiences about the winds of ill-fortune, and his search for Trident of Poseidon.

Star Cast: Johnny Depp, Kevin McNally, and Geoffrey Rush.

8. The Mummy

It's an Action, Adventure, Horror film, scheduled to release on 9th of June 2017 in 2D, 3D, and IMAX 3D formats. Directed by Alex Kurtzman. The film narrates the story of an ancient princess who came out of her grave, under the desert, with ill will grown inside her, over the period of thousand years. She was not ready to accept the human existence.

Star Cast: Tom Cruise, Sofia Boutella, Anabelle Wallis.

9. Baywatch

This action, comedy film is going to release on 25th May 2017. Directed by Seth Gordon, the movie is based on the TV series with the same name. This is the story of a devoted lifeguard who along with the other team members, unravels the conspiracy of local criminals, to save the future of the bay.

Star Cast: Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Priyanka Chopra.


10. Jumanji Welcome to the Jungle

Releasing on 20th December in 3D format. It's a fantasy, adventure movie, directed by Jake Kasdan and written by Scott Rosenberg. The film is the sequel of Jumanji. This story is about four high school students who found an old video game and drawn into the game's settings, they become adults all of a sudden and starts playing the roles of the characters of the video game. They deal with all the dangers of the game and survive it to return to the real world again.

Star Cast: Karen Gillan, Dwayne Johnson, Missi Pyle.
