Breaking Bad Brings TV to a Whole New Level

The Best of the Best

Here are the best modern TV shows in order from most to least fantastic. No matter who you are, these shows are a must watch. I fully expect that I will miss some pretty epic shows, so feel free to post any that I've missed in the comments section. Meanwhile, sit back and enjoy the Top 5 TV Shows Everyone Must Watch.

1. Breaking Bad

This show first aired in 2008 and has evolved spectacularly ever since. Breaking Bad isn't a TV show; it's a piece of art. The premise? A high school chemistry teacher gets diagnosed with terminal cancer and decides to cook crystal meth to support his family after he's gone. This is one you don't want to miss.

2. Lost

This show has been called many things, ranging from "the best show ever made," to "the worst show ever made." But more people seem to support to first review and I'm going to have to agree (almost). Being the TV show with the biggest regular cast ever, it has a lot to offer. If you're into sci-fi survival shows, this is for you.

3. Dexter

While this show has much controversy surrounding it, due to the fact that it revolves around the life of a detective moonlighting as a serial killer. But where does the line of right and wrong fall, when you're the one doing the killing and the saving? This show is for people who like the creepy.

4. The Wire

While this show went off air several years ago, it is still getting praise for its profound realism surrounding the Chicago drug scene. President Obama even said it was the "best show ever made." If that isn't high praise, I don't know what is.

5. House, M.D.

This is one of the few shows out there that really makes you think. It is a deeply psychological show, and, in my opinion, shows some great insights into the human psyche. It's about a brilliant doctor who, while lacking any social skills, repeatedly saves people's lives due to his own idiosyncrasies. Very witty and intelligent.

I love House and Dexter! I had to vote for The Walking Dead.
