The internet is now vastly known for being one of the biggest and easiest platforms for aspiring artists. YouTube, the largest and most popular video-sharing website is one great vessel for these aspirants. We are all aware of how this website helped create some of the biggest superstars of this generation, take Justin Bieber for example. Yes, if you haven't heard already, Bieber started out on Youtube, posting videos of his song covers and of him busking when he was still a kid. Now, he is one of the most popular young singers today. That's why this time, I'm listing 5 more most popular and most talented singers of today that started out the same way on YouTube and are now killing it in the international music scene.

If we were to talk about some of the most legit original YouTubers that successfully transitioned from singing covers online to creating a career on mainstream media, Troye Sivan is definitely one of the most promising. He started his YouTube channel in 2007, just two years after the site was created, posting his young angelic voice for everyone to hear when he was only 11 years old. He then started creating video blogs, commonly known as "Vlogs", in 2012. He became one of the biggest stars on the platform, collaborating and being friends with other huge YouTubers like Tyler Oakley, Zoella and Casper Lee.

In the peak of his YouTube career, Sivan was signed to EMI Australia in 2013 and released a five-song EP entitled TRXYE the year after, which debuted at No. 1 on iTunes in over 55 countries. His music career started to skyrocket. Today, Troye already has two studio albums: Blue Neighborhood (2015) and Bloom (2018).
