1. Beauty And The Beast

Its prequel was a Franco -German romantic movie, named as La Belle et La Bete, released in 2014. The role of Belle was played by Lea Seydoux and Vincent Cassel by Beast. Its sequel released on 17th of March this year in Disney Digital 3-D, RealD 3D, IMAX and IMAX 3D formats. It has become one of the top grosser till date. The budget of the film was $ 160 million and it has earned $ 1.144 billion in box office worldwide. It's a musical romantic fantasy film directed by Bill Condon and its Star Cast comprises of Emma Watson, Dan Stevens, Luke Evans, and Kevin Klin. The plot of the movie is based on a Disney's animated film of the same name, where a beautiful young girl Belle(Emma Watson) fall in love with a prince with a beastly look.

2. The Fate of the Furious

The second highest grosser of 2017, released on 14th April, and it's an American action film and it is the eighth part of The Fast And Furious series. The death of Paul Walker was the major setback for the whole team of Fast And Furious, as the shooting was still pending and they had to use the body double and CGI methods to film his scenes. Directed by F. Gary Gay. Its star cast includes Vin Diesel, Dwayne Johnson, and Jason Statham. The film is made on the budget of $ 250 million and earned $ 1.101 billion the box office. It's a story about a man, who was dragged into the world of terrorism by a mysterious woman, who in turn forces him to betray his crew.

3. The Boss Baby

Released on 31st of march. It's an animated comedy movie, based on the picture book of 2010 with the same name. It is directed by Tom McGrath and written by Michael McCullers. The voices are given by Alec Baldwin, Miles Bakshi, Jimmy Kimmel, and Steve Buscemi. In the movie, a man named Timothy Templeton narrates an imaginary story of himself as a 7-year-old child. The whole story revolves around timothy and his imaginary little brother, The Boss Baby, to whom he does not like earlier but gradually started liking him and accepted him as the permanent member of his family. The movie was made on a budget of $ 125 million and it has done the business of $439.6 million at the box office.

4. Fifty Shades Darker

This 10th February release is a erotic romantic drama. Its story is based on E. L. James novel with the same name. The film is directed by James Foley and written by Niall Leonard. The first part of the movie was Fifty Shades Of Grey and it was premiered in 2015. Star cast of the Fifty Shades Darker consists of Dakota Johnson, Jamie Dornan, and Eloise in the lead roles. This film is the seventh highest grossing movie of the year by doing the business of $ 378.8 million on box office. Its a story about Christian grey and his girl friend Anastasia and Christian's ex-flame Leila Williams. Leila keeps trying to distant them from each other but they somehow realize their love for each other and confesses it in the end.

This movie is the sequel to both xXx (2002) and xXx: State of the Union, released in 2005. This movie is the third part of the xXx franchise and was released on 20th January, in 2D, RealD 3D, and IMAX 3D. It was made on a budget of $ 85 million and grossed $ 346.1 million at the box office. It's an action movie. Directed by D. J. Caruso and written by F. Scott Frazier. Its star cast includes Vin Diesel, Donnie Yen and one new entry Deepika Padukone, the famous name of Bollywood film industry. This was one of the reasons that this movie was among the most sought after one in the south Asian countries too. The story revolves around Xander cage who comes out of a self-chosen exile and secretly returns to action for a new assignment.

6. The Lego Batman

Again an animated one, among the top grosser. Bruce Wayne should deal with the suspects because they are conspiring to conquer Gotham City. Meanwhile, he discovers that he by mistake adopted an orphan who wants to become his side-stick.

Budget: $80 million.

8. John Wick: Chapter 2

Release date 10th January is an action thriller. John wick has been forced by his old colleague to make a comeback to prepare for a fight with world's deadliest killers.

Star Cast: Keanu Reeves, Common, Laurence Fishburne, Riccardo, Scamarcio, Ruby Rose, John Leguizamo, Ian McShane.

Budget: $40 million.

Box Office: $163.8 million.
