Ulees Gold - a movie about an intelligent man in a stubborn world
Ulees world of helpful bees but good and bad people
Here is one movie that goes straight into the viewer’s mind without any dramatic interruptions. Ulees Gold is Victor Nunezs priced film that is still seen as a cult classic. Peter Fonda playing the titular role gives some intense moments of silences that couples with well reserved boldness.
Ulee is a beekeeper who happens to get a sudden change from his routine when confronted by two thugs who were his convict sons associates. Instead of going berserk and sad the brooding beekeeper waits for the correct opportunity to strike. He has been taking care of his sons daughters while routinely getting honey from his much devoted bees.
Like a lion waiting for the kill Ulee uses his mind over his emotions. This is where Ulee actually strikes gold which means not the physical form but the accomplishment of the peace of his family in spite of these new adversaries. His sons wife has become a drug addict and so as suggested by his son he brings her home. Here the film goes to a turn of events with new characters like the duty-bound nurse who comes much handy in detoxifying the sons wife.
This film is in all intelligence has a cleansing sense as though Ulee is washing off the dirt and fear haunting his family with the help of the neighbour nurse, the kids and the bees of course.
