Use a Speakers Bureau to Hire a Motivational Speaker

Updated on May 25, 2009

Wouldn't the highlight of your next convention or conference be the presence of a motivational speaker to really spark up the entire event? Someone perhaps like Jay Leno, Bill Cosby, Jane Fonda, Magic Johnson, Dan Marino, Joe Montana or George Foreman?

You can choose from thousands to top personalities, celebrities and entertainment or sports superstars who will thrill, delight and entertain even the most jaded attendee.

If your company is sports oriented, you can share the fabled experiences of Troy Aikman, Yogi Berra, Marcus Allen, Pete Rose, Oscar De La Hoya, Tom Brady, Lance Armstrong, Joe Namath, John Elway, Hank Aaron, Deion Sanders, or even the Big Tuna himself, Bill Parcells.

Imagine getting golf tips from Gary Player or Chi Chi Rodriguez, driving tips from Darrel Waltrip, or find out from Howie Long what it's really like to be sandwiched between Terry and Jimmy.

Your company's employees and executives could get leadership tips from Senator Robert Dole, Archie Manning, Bruce Jenner, Bobby Bowden, Joe Paterno, Erin Brockovich, Sparky Anderson, or even Neil Armstrong.

You could be entertained and enlightened by celebrities such as Dana Carvey, Dave Barry, Dave Chappelle, Jeff Foxworthy, Leslie Nielsen, Richard Simmons, Jamie Foxx, or direct from Whose Line, Drew Carey, Wayne Brady and Ryan Stiles!

How about getting a peek behind the music business directly from Mick Fleetwood, Cheryl Crow, Trisha Yearwood, Don Henley and the Eagles, or Brooks and Dunn?

Who would you ask Al Michaels about, Bob Costas, or John Madden? Would you like Andre Agassi to comment on your backstroke? Ask Billy Dee Williams about what happened on the set of Star Wars, or maybe ask Zachary Quinto if he prefers playing Spock or Sylar? Perhaps you'd like an insight into the inner workings of CNN from Anderson Cooper or Catherine Crier.

Find out what it's like to helm the sports desk from Jim Nantz, Greg Gumbel, Dan Patrick, Rich Eisen, Stuart Scott, or even the mercurial Jim Rome. Imagine the reaction when the onto the stage of your event, the entire crew of the Dallas Cowboy Cheerleaders rushes on!

This is just a short sampling of the inspirational speakers which your company can have address its next function. Very true, but the onus of this Hub is the "celebrity" angle and there's not a lot of them that will answer emails directly.

Using a motivational speakers bureau is only one way to find a great motivational speaker. Some event planners find inspirational speakers online.

They prefer to discuss their requirements directly with the speaker, rather than via a bureau salesperson.
