Vote: Brad Pitt vs Leonardo DiCaprio vs Tom Cruise

Updated on May 26, 2014

I have been wondering about this for a while. I have my own opinion fixed but I would like to know about your thoughts. Also, I have put TWO poll questions SEPARATELY for both boys/men and girls/women because the answers I get from both communities are mostly polarizing. Comparisons are based solely on acting and looks and not wealth or assets. Below is the description of all thee including what they do best, what we love about them (my opinions) and their best movies (not an exhaustive list). You are most welcome to give thoughts and comments however you like.

Brad Pitt

I love his hairstyles for sure. He made even the buzz cut look so cool in 'Mr. and Mrs Smith'. He has a good female fan following, courtesy his 'Fight Club' body and perfectly sculpted face. I love his elegance (Ocean Series, Mr and Mrs Smith) and explosiveness (Troy, Se7en) in his acting style. Also, he is a bit more versatile than the other two.

Some of his best movies are

  • Troy
  • Mr and Mrs Smith
  • Se7en
  • Moneyball
  • The Curious Case of Benjamin Button
  • Snatch
  • Fight Club

Leonardo DiCapio

Leonardo DiCaprio

He is my best of three definitely. I absolutely love his intense, stressful style of acting, like he is always on the run or undercover. Leo's movies are slightly offbeat, out of league, mostly matching his own intense style (The Departed, Shutter Island, Blood Diamond) which is hard to pull off as an actor.

DiCaprio's best movies

  • Shutter Island
  • Inception
  • The Departed
  • Blood Diamond
  • The Beach
  • The Aviator
  • Body of Lies

Tom Cruise

Tom Cruise

Lately he has been guilty of doing only action and sci-fi movies that typecast him. He comes off as charming and flamboyant but lacks the intensity (except in Collateral maybe) and diversity of the other two. He ranks third in my list.

Tom's best movies

  • Collateral
  • Jerry Maguire
  • Minority Report
  • Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol
  • Top Gun
  • A few Good Men
  • Risky Business
