Weird Human Tricks

Updated on October 22, 2010
I can't do this.
I can't do this.

Have you ever gotten together with a friend and just gone back and forth showing each other the weird "talents" you have with your body? If not recently then maybe you did as a kid and this might bring back some memories. This is just a fun hub about those pointless tricks we can do in all their weirdness.

The Spock Hand

I am starting simple with this one, if you have ever watched Star Trek then you know what this is. It means to live long and prosper and looks pretty simple. But a lot of people cannot do this(including me) without using their other hand. I can't explain how one person can do it while another can't but you have some talented fingers if you can.

Finger Bending

The next weird trick is people who can bend their fingers all the way back to touch their hand. It is painful for those who try to do it and cannot but not so much for those with flexible fingers. So basically if it looks unnatural than it is probably a weird human trick and I think this qualifies.

Double Jointedness

We all know these people who can twist some part of their body in some weird way that seems unnatural and makes you cringe just watching it. Whether it is an arm, shoulder, or even a leg this is a popular trick to show off. I am not sure exactly what causes people to be like this and I am not sure it serves any purpose but that is the way they were made so that is that.

Try these, don't hurt yourself.

Tongue Tricks

Some people can do some crazy stuff with their tongue. Whether it is folding it like a taco or putting multiple rolls in it. Or even touching your nose with your tongue. At this point, you are probably trying to do at least one of the things I just mentioned, it's cool though. There are probably many things you can do with your tongue that i did not mention, it can be a very versatile part of your body.

Tongue Twister

I guess the last weird human trick for now would have to be just tongue twisters. I know it's not really a physical trick but it takes some talent to make these things come out right. Here are some of my favorite examples, try em' out.

1) Unique New York

2) Sheena leads, Sheila needs.

3) Stupid superstition

4) Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
A peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked.
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
Where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

5) Toy Boat

That is it for now, hope you enjoyed this little hub and will try out a few of the things mentioned above.
