Rich and Famous

Why do people follow the rich and famous? Is it because one is so fascinated with a particular persons life? Is it because one is famous or wealthy? Perhaps its an obsession that one can't shake! You probably want to be noticed or popular with your peeps! Then again you may have placed a bet with someone and you want to win that bet. Or at least look like you know what your talking about, right? We could go on and on and on about how and why people from all walks of life look forward to the latest news or gossip on famous, rich, wealthy, politicians, entrepreneurs, philanthropists, CEO's, singers, athletes, doctors, lawyers, designers and the eclectic over the wall individuals of our society.

There is something about what's going on in the life's of these individuals that captivates the minds of others. It is mind boggling to know these intriguing details about others and how they live because they hold a special place in society. They have been placed on a pedestal and are admired no matter what they say or do! They can do no wrong because they are above others. An adoration is running through the minds of those who are obsessed with celebrities, pro athletes, office officials, CEO's and Presidents of major companies and corporations as well as even the vagrants of the streets.

If we explore a little bit further to see what is behind all the hype of the paparazzi and its entourage of photographers with camera-itis, you will notice what I mean. Some of us just admire others to an extent, whereas some go over board and it becomes what we call an obsession. Then there are still others who take it a step further by stalking their victims. As we go deeper and deeper into the minds of individuals, we see that certain occurrences such as wealthy stars and entrepreneurs going through divorces or getting married triggers a craze that ordinary people want to know. Maybe it's the pro tennis star or baseball player you admire and is well liked in the league now all of a sudden news flairs up about steriod use among your favorite player and your like how can that be! Are they sure they got the information right on this football player? Nah, it can't be true is it? This player would never do that! He's well liked in the league and holds all kinds of records. It's like if we are in disbelief or shock that this is happening! This cannot happen to them. There's no way! Things like this doesn't happen to people like them.

It is impossible for the possible to happen! Why is this? Is it because our expectations of others who are rich and famous untouchable? Because we the ordinary class citizens make this possible by placing these individuals above us? What takes place when something tragic happens to the most talented, generous philanthropist or the nightly news anchor on 60 minutes? Or is it because we want to be just like them; happy, wealthy, famous, popular, hold a place in society, admired and adored, have everything you can imagine, no cares or worries in the world, no stress, loads of fun, and enjoying life! Maybe we believe the people we look up to will never leave us and live to eternity. We imagine them being immortal.

This might sound weird, but some people have deep connections with certain individuals. These connections make us believe were empowered, immortal, invincible, and above everybody else. We love to hear the latest gossip on our most famous celebrities and sports stars. We just have to know what's going on in their lives and how they solve their problems and issues so that we can follow them and do the same! Especially if we admire someone so deeply! We figure if they can solve their problems and work things out so can we! Why do you think we think that way? Probably because since they are famous and have lots of money, they must be doing something right! But of course if problems for them aren't too big to handle, knowing they have bigger problems than ordinary people, for us it should be a walk in the park.

There are so many eclectic personalities out there, I don't know where to begin! Some of us marvel at the idea of desiring to be like Madonna or Brittany Spears. Perhaps we could sing just like them or dance like Jennifer Lopez. Some of us dream to look like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise. Maybe play pro sports like Tiger Woods, Tom Brady, Derek Jeter, Rafael Nadal, Kobe Bryant or swim in the Olympics and win eight gold medals like Michael Phelps. It would be nice to be an Oscar winner, like Clint Eastwood, Jack Nicholson, Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Meryl Streep, and Denzel Washington or have the sexiest body in Hollywood like Halle Berry, Jessica Alba, Paul Walker, Duane (the Rock) Johnson, Jessica Biel, Vin Diesel, Paula Patton (Thicke) and Chris Evans. What is your desire and dreams about?

Could it be wanting to be successful in life like many entrepreneurs we try to emulate? One of them being Donald Trump, another Bill Gates, Oprah Winfrey, and yet another Mark Zuckerberg and the many other successful entrepreneurs in the world. Wouldn't it be fascinating to own your own clothing line because you designed the line yourself? Versace, Liz Claiborne, Tory Burch, and Vera Wang did! Again these little, but yet intricate fine details about what's happening with successful people keeps us intrigued all the time.

Do we care that the people who hold our minds puzzled with extraordinary events going on in the world drives us crazy? They are like electrical receptors. When we get shocked by these receptors the craziest events that surround us everyday, makes us say ooh, awe, wow! Is it because we care so much and love the drama? Is it because the people we admire are so generous, kind, caring and great activists in the communities and nations of the world? Or could it be for what they believe in and stand for! Or because their the Ambassador to the UN like Angelina Jolie and Urban Ambassador, Christy Turlington. Ashley Judd, Global Ambassador and AIDs Activist, Gisele Bundchen (Brady), and Gwyneth Paltrow, as well as UN Messenger of Peace Activist, Charlize Theron and oh so many others who give their time and money to world organizations. Their endless efforts stand out as they strive to bring relief to destitute countries.

What makes us tick about the newest, latest and craziest crazes the world has to offer? Is it behind the open lens of the paparazzi or behind closed doors? One intriguing aspect of famous people to follow is the private lives of celebrities whose lives are never in the spotlight. Their so private that you don't even know their there. You forget all about them and get caught up in a world wind with what's going on now. You think, maybe, perhaps, questionable! Stay alert and tune in for the next paparazzi siting.
