What makes them think they can sing ?

Updated on October 9, 2011
Source

Worst x factor auditions Ever

Why do contestants enter the x factor knowing full well that they can't sing. It always amazes me that friends and family of these people can let them go on the programme and make fools of themselves. It must be just that English people are either so arrogant or just plain thick to think that they could ever get through the competition.

Is it me ?

Don't waste your time answering that one !

Holly Jervis ( The Mouth )

Why am I doing this ?

Good question...Steve. Why am I writing this hub knowing full well that the videos will never be watched all the way through. Or maybe there are people out there in Hubber land who like inflicting pain on their ear drums. I don't know it takes all sorts to make a world.

Do you have the same thoughts as me or is ITV making the television programmes that the majority want to see. Don't get me wrong I do like the show but I hate watching the idiots who believe they are the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Some may say ...just chill out Steve and find something interesting to write about, no, moan about.

It is my duty to point out not only the good but also the bad about which goes on in these programmes. Public service providor and all that.

No doubt some of you will have your own views and no doubt let me know.

Chloe Victoria

This girl gives Yorkshire a bad name, not to mention my hometown Leeds. Thank goodness I no longer live there anymore.

This guy has got a bad attitude

Michael Lewis

He had the cheek to return in 2011 and had a similar outburst again.....What a loser!

Jahm

So there you have it. My little compilation of the worst x factor auditions.

I am sure there will be plenty more opportunity to showcase more rubbish acts from the x factor stable.

Hope you didn't enjoy watching the videos half as much as I didn't.

I loathe cowellesque claptrap like the x factor. It is killing music and quashing real talent. I thoroughly enjoyed watching raw bands in seedy little pubs and clubs. I hate all this over the top glitzy falseness that seems expected these days.

These singers are on the show for ratings. They know they can't sing, but they are getting their five minutes of fame. It's all about entertainment. Your hub was entertaining:)

What really bothers me, is the rudeness of the judges.

My heart went out to Holly - All her dreams killed on air in less than a minute, and after many years of practice. I could here she must have had formal training. How will she ever overcome those harsh critique.

And then I can but only blame her teacher. He/she should have identified the shortcomings of her voice. We are who we are through people.

Sorry I haven't listen to the rest. It will only upset me more. I feel sorry for the victims of families and communities.

Hope and dreams can blind us. We must ask the opinions of people who are not emotional involved with us before we dare to be ourselves in this cruel world.

Posh! There is an old saying that comes to mind after watching these videos. It goes: You always Hurt the One You Love! And these people love themselves way too much. Good hub though, and when I wasn't grimacing over the singers voices, I was laughing my Butt off. Again, thanks for the hilarious collection!

Posh Bro: These shows are all planned out and chorographed. The worst of the worst is show-cased first.

    Nice hub you have here!

I always wonder why people let their friends and family make a total fool of themselves. I don't understand that people will do literally anything to be on TV, even if that means ruining every chance on anyone ever taking them serious again.

People like this try out for these shows because they want their 15 minutes of fame or think it would be fun to be on TV/a reality show. It has nothing to do with talent.

The X Factor offers something. Hope. People who have nothing, no success in their lives, a dead end job, if they have a job at all. It offers them a way out.

You don't have to win to have that shot at success. Many former X Factor contestants have done very well for themselves, and some former winners have not done quite so well. For that matter, some truly awful contestants (Jedward) seem to be doing very well for themselves.

We live in times when fame and materialism matter. It is of little concern to some that they have no talent, as proven by the rise to fame of contestants from shows like Big Brother, where people who cannot sing, dance, act, paint, or have any talent whatsoever, seem to return to our screens for years after the event.

Some of them seem to make a career out of nothing more than being a bit thick, being serial contestants on reality shows and flashing their breasts in lads' mags.

I am afraid it will get worse before it gets better. But the time will come when people make it clear they are bored with it, and that people who work hard for their fame, singers dragging gear around pubs, entertainers working holiday camps, show that they are tired of being ignored.

I wonder myself why their friends let them go on just to make a fool off themselves lol. Some of them are tone deaf and painful to watch. I can't talk you should hear me sing, Sounds like a cat is being strangled lmao!! =P x
