Have we had enough of Real Housewives, yet??
Do they live in YOUR neighborhood?
Will the REAL Housewives of America please stand?
Enough of this insanity! No longer can we sit idly by as BRAVO reality T.V. airs programs of utter nonsense, attempting to pass them off to viewers as Main Street, America. It's high time someone speak out. I volunteer.
Just the other day as I spoke to our Nanny about the issues I'm having with the maid, I noticed that our limo driver had not taken our Porche to be detailed. I would have spoken to him immediately, had our gardener not been causing a ruckus arguing with the pool boy. I hate all the fuss but as the housewife here, I must handle things.
This day I even had to see to it that my personal assistant knew exactly what to pack for our two weeks in Paris. I deplore standing over her, wearing myself to a frazzle, directing her to do what she is paid to do. My day can be exhausting.
George will drive me to the Spa for my 1:00 appointment. Sauna, massage, facial, manicure and hair styling. This can consume hours of my precious time. I must get back home in time to see to it that Rosa set the dinner table for eight guests rather than ten. The Governor and his wife sent regrets due to scheduling conflicts. Problems, problems.
Call me Forgetful....but....
I'm having a hard time recalling who it was at our recent Cocktail Party who commenced a lawsuit against me. I'm being accused of having thrown my Tanqueri Martini in her face, complete with imported olive and yanking out her hair extensions. Actually, the more I think about it, I do remember becoming enraged when someone commented that my plastic surgeon is not Board Certified. I'm not at all concerned. Considering the untrue verbal assault thrown at me in my own mansion, any Judge will determine I was totally justified. Heaven knows this world is full of crazies. It depresses me. ....which reminds me to make my therapy appointment for this week.
Real Housewives of America, I ask you....
Are we expected to believe, sympathize or worse, be entertained by this crap? How long must the insults and demeaning of authentic American housewives go on before we fight back?
How dare the media executives suggest these mindless, shallow, phony and somewhat looney broads are representative of real women? Having been born with a brain, we scoff at this of course What's really going on here? Don't ask me why I allow this kind of insanity to get to me please. It just does.
Real life, being a wife and mother, working woman and sometime-volunteer is what we chose. Difficult struggle though this may be at times, it's our life and we love it. Sure, the daydreams of a fantasy life come and go but reality prevails and we trudge on.
When the Entertainment Industry smartens up......
Some extremely intelligent woman will write, produce and direct a program about real housewives that will reap the benefits and attention, respect and enjoyment, we rightfully deserve. Think of the boost it will provide the viewers, men and women alike. It would be certain to be a smash hit.
The problem is, genuinely real life isn't exciting enough. There's not enough fantasy or luxury, not enough of the bullshit we see on these unreal programs. Technically, these shows are supposed to be an escape from our daily lives? I disagree with this concept. I hear otherwise from the women I talk to all the time. There needs to be a Real House wife's show to which we can actually relate. Why is this such a difficult thing to understand?
My best guess is that like so much of the fake that literally surrounds us from every angle continually, reality, honesty and facts have such little value. These positives are lost somewhere so that we must always pull them to the surface. We need to shake ourselves awake to comfortably accept the way things actually are. Are we not trusted with the truth? Instead, we are inundated and insulted with the phony, the scripted and contrived. The constant efforts to force-feed us so much garbage are astronomical. We can and should refuse to accept it. Hey, House Wives of New York City.....Get a life!
Stand tall and proud ladies. The Real American housewife and mother has been the backbone that has made this country's families and households the best, strongest and most productive in the world. We are examples of women of substance and integrity.
We need to demand a better plan for a TV show that will represent us as who and what we truly are. Let all housewives everywhere feel proud. Give the viewing public some truth and down-to-earth individuals struggling with their daily lives and succeeding against the obstacles.
Cast everyday women from the streets of Average Town, USA. We're not married to millionaires. We're not spoiled brats, raising another generation of even more spoiled little demons. We are a wonderful kind of normal with a multitude of talents and personalities of every type imaginable. We do not have weekly cat fights, throwing insults at each other and attacking our friends!
We are the jugglers, volunteers and problem-solvers, not to mention the fact that we do it all unselfishly with pure love.
Working Moms, wives and women from every corner, I say we need to start a movement. Let us stand tall and capable to represent the Real Housewives of America. Prepare to create a resume that will astound!
Seriously people, we may be sitting in front of the T.V. a bit too often and for too long, being dumbed-down by garbage. What we have to our avail is Sci-Fi, Reality T.V. (that is anything but real) sitcoms that over dramatize the highs and lows of daily life or talk shows where people expose and air their dirtiest of laundry. "Honey Boo Boo?" and a whole lot of ignorance.
We are better than this, don't you think? Yes, we are, so let's go for it!
See you at the auditions!!
