If you have just discovered actor Richard Armitage, you probably want to know more about him.

Richard has become known to audiences around the world through his compelling work as the majestic Thorin Oakenshield in “The Hobbit” trilogy directed by Peter Jackson. He also gained many fans through his earlier roles, which include the enigmatic spy Lucas North in the acclaimed British TV series “Spooks” (called MI-5 in the US), the gorgeous villain Guy of Gisborne in BBC’s 2006 “Robin Hood” series, and the brooding mill-owner John Thornton in BBC’s “North and South” miniseries.
